last year I think it came one day after the launch of the iOS 16

but that was really an Iphone 15 issue, did this bring anything to the table for 14 and below?

Do you know that? Perhaps it also affected the other phones, as well?

For example, I updated my 15 PM to 17.0.2 as soon as it powered up the first time. Yet I could not do a phone-to-phone data transfer from my 14 PM. Maybe whatever the issue was was a problem caused by iOS 17.0 and/or 17.0.1 and affected any phones on those versions.

How long does it usually take for the .1 beta to release? I feel like it was really fast last year

It was faster last year. I think the problems with 17.0.1 (data transfer to new phone) as well as the zero day bug may have impacted the timing this year.

Or this was simply Apple’s timing overall (though I don’t think so, personally).

Especially so considering I lost my homescreen creator shortcut and now the files are gone from whatever host had them. I have a decent collection of the icon shadow walls I created but I won’t be able to create anything new.
Can you restore a backup and get your data back?

My Apple TV 4K tried to update to tvOS 17 and bricked(?) yesterday. I was able to restore it with the new Bluetooth restore function in iOS 17. I wonder if that could be related?

I had the same thing happen except the Bluetooth restore didn’t work for us. We ended up having to send it in for a warranty replacement.

Charging limit of 80% is buggy. It worked for me for a couple of days on my 15PM. Then last night it just said ‘nope’ and charged to 100% and held it there all night. 🙄

Will try it again tonight and see how it goes.

It's possible. When I setup my 15 ProMax I updated to 17.0.2 during the setup and then did phone to phone transfer from my old iPhone X (16.7). Worked perfectly. Getting the esim up and running on Verizon took 4 hours on chat which resulted in both phones not having cellular. Then I called in to Verizon tech support the next morning and after restoring the phone twice and some other tap dancing, it finally was connected to cellular. This was my first experience with esim and it sucked.. Physical sim was so much easier.

Weird, after updating iPhone 11 Pro to 17.0.2 I have been asked on every single device in iCloud to type iCloud password to re-enable synchronization with iCloud?

Is it only me?

I can’t add more that 1 iCloud account. Any word on a fix for this?

Also cannot connect to WiFi in some locations. Works most places but there are a few places I previously could connect at on my 14 pro, but 15 pro max will not

Hoping for a update fix

Last night when I checked my battery status on my 13 PM, I had used my camera for one minute and it said it took out 31% of my battery for the day. I have no idea what is going on.

I read the Apple support notes regarding 80% limit and it does say that from time to time the phone will charge to 100% to maintain battery calibration.

Ran into a strange and concerning item.

On both my iPhone and iPad, I have a couple of credit cards setup in Wallet for online purchases. Really like that feature.
Via Safari dropped into Bed Bath and Beyond to buy an area rug. Nice sales.
Found what I wanted and used Apple Pay on checkout. Didn’t pay a lot of attention till I got the confirmation text. Well Texts. I had a confirmation from BB&B and Discover. I had thought I had Chase setup as default.

So I dropped into Wallet and took a look and this is where things went off the rails. I moved from California to Arizona a few months ago and changed all my addresses. Well in Wallet, I found that the deleted billing addresses were back.. My new were there also. Had to re-delete the old address from every card I had listed.

Update: iOS won’t let me delete the old address but iPadOS will.

This was on both the iPhone and iPad. They use the same iCloud account.

No real impact however I am concerned the addresses re-appeared.

It’s does this on the Apple Watch Ultra too. I’ve had it on this setting for a year. Someone it’s 80% when I wake. Sometimes 100%.

Still at 100% battery health after a year.

Since Friday noon, persons I call can no longer hear me (no crackling or anything else). In the morning, I made a normal phone call and a few hours later people couldn't hear me (voice memo and voice messages - whatsapp eg works) The cause is absolutely not comprehensible to me. i Have neither installed a new app, nor updated the operating system, etc ( at this time it was already 17.0.2)
.
Fun Fact: I had an appointment at the Apple Store on Friday (actually because of a MacBook problem - but then I changed the appointment - because iPhone is more important) In the store they measured the phone with the analysis tool and the employee said "shows no failures - the device works fine". I then asked him to call me and he found out that he does not hear me -..... 🙄 Well, at least that shows that apparently there is no hardware- problem.... he said I should reset the device times.... because I did not have a very current backup, I did that in the evening at home ( backup and reset). Then I made a call with the "naked" iPhone and the other party could hear me. Afterwards I installed the backup.... wild guesses?..... jupp problem appears again...

It's pretty annoying, because I don't want to set up the phone again from zero, load all the apps and all that goes with it. Currently, I choose the detour that I call via the apple watch. This works (unlike the AirPods pro) but of course it is not an option in the long run.

Now I was thinking about whether I try to downgrade to iOS 17.0.1? Does anyone else have a tip? or similar experiences made? Thanks and greetings from Germany

It could still be an intermittent hardware issue as I've had that once with BT on one of my phones. However, your issue does seem to be something in your config and backup files causing.

Shot in the dark as I don't know who your mobile carrier is or what phone you have, but I would try the following:
- Disable Voice Isolation if you have that turned on
- Perform a Network Reset
- Change Cellular->Voice and Data to 5G Auto
- Turn off 5G Standalone if it's on

What kind of Bluetooth hardware issue have you had?

Because currently with my 14 Pro, quite often when connecting via Bluetooth in my car, the other person can’t hear me. It works for awhile and then all of a sudden it goes silent for them.

Something with either the wireless chip or antenna. When BT streaming in my car or headphones, it would be intermittent. I press on the back glass where the main board was and get a solid signal. Stop pressing, BT would go intermittent again. 100% repeatable but Apple's tests in-store reported nothing wrong.

thanks for the advice. unfortunately the problem is still present. I'm at a bit of a loss. iPhone user since the 3GS but I've never experienced anything like this.

Not sure if this is an iOS issue or AW issue.

iPhone 13 ProMax / Apple Watch Ultra 1 - both on current OS releases (not beta).
I have a 6 digit access code set on each and the iPhone is set to automatically unlock the watch.

I’ll be on the iPhone and get a notification: email, message, etc … and when I go to do a quick look on my watch it will, not always, but frequently, ask for the access code before I can see the details on the new notification. :(

I’ve tried turning the passcode off/on, rebooting, re-pairing. Still exists.

Open to suggestions…

Could it be that your Apple Watch isn't really unlocked? Many times I put on my watch and forget to unlock it or I canceled out of the unlock with iPhone without realizing. I use a 6-digit passcode on my iPhone and 4-digit on my watch and have not experienced this issue throughout the later iOS 17 betas and release version.

The only settings I can think of is to check your Apple Watch Settings->Notifications and toggle the Show Summary When Locked and Tap to Show Full Notification settings.
