Antutu score after update was 1,503,310

Before update was 1,523,451

Pretty much the same.

Yeah, I still maintain something was just getting stuck in a tight loop and pegging the CPU.

Normally the system will kill processes when this happens, but there could have been a bug somewhere that prevented it. Enjoy your iPhone 15s, all is good with the world. :)

Has anyone gone to the App Store to try to see the list of apps you need to update? Because it's gone on my phone. All I get now is a list of Recently Updated apps, and none of the 100+ apps that I never bothered to update.

I still get available updates.

Do you have a vpn setup that might be blocking the App Store?

Happy to report that the “synced content” storage bug in Settings appears to be fixed in 17.0.3.

Unless something is still wrong on my end, it also looks like iOS is now differentiating between the space taken up by the music app itself vs. the space that files like songs copied from a Mac music library take up (the “synced content”). The sizes of the songs themselves are still broken down under “Music” though (if this sounds confusing it’s because it is).

All good here! I wasn’t having any issues with my 15 Pro before or after. I’m sure others were but I just didn’t see the overheating issues myself.

I was experiencing heat issues whilst even browsing safari, and it got uncomfortably hot whenever on a phone call. Battery would keep dropping. I even tried a fresh software restore and encrypted local backup.

After 17.0.3, no issues anymore. Phone calls the phone remains cool, battery doesn’t drop. Good result

No issues before, no issues after the update for me.

My 15 PM didn't get hot before and it doesn't get hot now. I don't really notice anything of significance otherwise. My friend has the overheating issue and the update did absolutely nothing to fix it.

VPNs don't block anything on Apple's end.

Didn't have a problem in the first place.

Please note that the more content you load on social media apps, including your own profile, the more resources the app will consume. The bigger your profile is and the bigger your following list is the more of your device's resources are used.

This apps are loaded with scripts on top of content, trackers, spam and ads. They are highly inefficient by their nature and that can't be fixed.

They are a hot pile of garbage with a few diamonds in the rough.

Just ran a Geekbench test, 2940 on single core and 7339 on multi-core. iPhone 15 Pro.

I did not have any heat issues before the update, but it got warm after the update was completed. After restart all good again.

Maybe it is just my imagination but I feel like the Weather App is pinging the location more often? I feel like the arrow appears every time I unlock / use the iPhone now. Don't recall it being this often prior to iOS 16? I wish you could use the widgets with a pre-set city and not being required to use your actual location all the time. I wonder how much it hits the battery
