As was mine but it all shows as sync data (16GB - amount of music I have) while the Music app shows 700MB. So "Synced content" under iPad Storage reads zero for you?

Yes, very strange. You can see my “music” bar should be the biggest one and my available storage should be closer to 430gb.

That is strange. Have you done a forced restart? Weird stuff going on with storage measurements, for sure. My System data said 12GB, then it dropped to about 2GB for a while, and now it's back to 12GB, all after updating my 14PM to 17.0.3.

You’re a genius. Force restart fixed it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Though the about section in settings still hasn’t gotten with the program. Still ignoring what I can only assume is downloaded music. Whatever. Hopefully fixed sometime in the future.

After 17.0.3 none of my app icons are showing the red circle and number (like for showing new emails, voicemails, texts, etc.). All the apps that always have red circle notification counts have nothing.

UPDATE: Looks like DND was enabled.

Sounds like you’ve enabled do not disturb.

You can check notification settings and specifically check whether badges are allowed. Try toggling it off and on if it is turned on and still not working.

This update turned on all my location system services. Updated via IPSW instead of OTA.
Same here. I wish we had a wiki on all the location services , what they really mean and the best ones to turn off or leave on. I watched too many videos to learn each time. I need to screen save these darn settings.

Lock Screen still can eat 4-5% in one minute. I don’t get it. Probably because of weather widget which has to update every time I move

Got a cool surprise last week - kids bought me a 15PM, Ti Blue, 256GB for my birthday. Serious surprise.
Phone was mfg’d in September and shipped late Sept. Looks like Apple is trying to build and ship quickly.

Day 1: Turned on the device and after a quick bare setup, installed 17.0.3 OTA. Did another bare setup then reset the device and redid 17.0.3 ipsw and decided to setup as new. I then spent a good bit of time installing all the apps I have on my 13PM. Btw - device got warm. Measured 111.3F with my IR reader.

Day 2: Spent a good bit of time signing into my apps, setting up Apple Pay and Wallet and swapping my eSIM (Mint Mobile). Mint made the swap seriously painless. You have to use their app and it took about 60 seconds. Ran into a few odds during this (Safari table freezing, Proton Pass locking in sync mode, Spark crashing when setting up new account - all app related). Did notice Face ID was wonky - frequently took a couple of retries to unlock. Device got warm but not really hot. 98.5F max. Paired my Apple Watch Ultra after unpairing from my 13PM. Lockscreen is minimal with a photo for background, date, time, weather, sunrise/sunset set up. Only a weather widget (stock) set.

Day 3: Turned off AOD, too bright for my liking. Going to give a week before I measure the battery. Not bad so far but very inconsistent. Likely due to setup and syncs. WiFI is 6/6e at 1GB. Seeing some issue with staying connected. 5G has been decent. No call issues. Charges odd though. Do not have Optimization on nor 80% however once it hits 80% charging via cable it drops from the 20’s watts down to around 10 watts. Using an Anker 65W block. Going to stay with cable for a week to measure.

Apps have been mostly good outside the occasional freeze. UI is very smooth. The OS has been for the most part good. I will repot bugs as I run across them. Btw - the badge update bug and iMessage status across devices still exists. I am seeing an issue with Spark randomly freezing. I have three Gmail accounts linked.

17.0.3 appears to help keep things cool. No warmer than my 13PM unless I got a “cool” unit.

I also think that my 15 pro had better battery life on 17.0.2

Another issue I had today morning was a rebooted iPhone. It has done it on its own. Why? I don't know. No panic log fortunately in data. I have no idea what is that. Moreover my wife's iPhone also rebooted

Strange,I thought the update was just to make 15 pro max better in terms of battery life.

Same here. Both mine and the other halves rebooted in the night and was waiting for the sim passcode this morning which is not ideal.

I'm happy not to be alone :D: iPhone 12 mini with iOS 17.0.3, rebooted this night, waiting this morning for the sim passcode..
At this point I think was a urgent security update. BTW a notification would have been helpful 🙃
(iPad Air with iOS 17.0.3 doesn't have restarted.. boh.)

uhmm..
