Any idea what is the format of the video? I am wondering if I can convert to run them on an old 3D laptopSpatial video recording is in beta 2 apparently.
Well it was enough time for some to download - if I jump in I’ll run a speed test first thing. 15-20 minute lag time here so yeah there was time .
Dunno, not seeing that. But why would I see it if I don't have anything Vision Pro related? Like a dev kit or Xcode opened, whatever?
Looks like you have to enable an option in the camera app in settings as the screenshot above shows.Dunno, not seeing that. But why would I see it if I don't have anything Vision Pro related? Like a dev kit or Xcode opened, whatever?
Why would they? what's wrong with it?

I usually run betas on an iPad but considering using for a daily driver. I did not think about the corruption of the backup so thanks for the tip.You are asking a number of questions here that make me wonder if you are new to the beta process. If so, make sure you’ve done an archived back up (to prevent backups on beta 2 from overwriting your “restore” backup). The process for restoring back to 17.1.1 can be found at the bottom of the wiki post at the top of this thread under one of the “spoilers” at the bottom.
And, yes, the issue where no one could revert back to the public release has been fixed (unless it breaks again in this beta).
Yeah, just saw that! Thanks!Settings > Camera > Formats

Used to be under About as far as I know.Wasn't it like that in beta 1?
I could bet this setting was there in b1.They've relocated the Apple Care coverage section too.
Knowledge Bomb’s answer is excellent. I’d just add that the risk of major problems falls with each subsequent beta (usually). For a X.X version, the risk seems low enough by beta 3 that I feel comfortable jumping in, especially if betas are on a weekly cycle by then. though I wait a day or two and monitor these forum threads to get a sense of others’ experiences with beta 3. Using this strategy, I’ve never had a problem with any beta 3 or higher that caused more than minor inconvenience. YMMV of course.Have these point updates been historically safe to use as a daily driver?
If beta 2 has the snow widget fix then it's safe to say it should include the 17.1.1 fixes, but there's no snow here to test.
