Good shout!!!

10 apps were off.

Also my Siri voice had changed, had to pick the Irish again.
So I was checking this and found about 1/2 of the stock apps were off, so I started cutting them back on only to notice that as I turned some on, others turned back off.. also, after making changes and exiting that page, going back in shows them off again

I'm pretty sure a Live Activity for the Knicks game started without me initiating it. First Knicks game since beta 2 dropped, so maybe that's something new.

The same thing here. I checked after seeing the earlier post yesterday, seeing several toggled off. I toggled them back on and just now checked and they are back off. I’m guessing all have the issue but most will never check that setting so won’t know.

I jumped from stable 17.1.1 to 17.2 DB2 mostly to check if it finally fixes the wifi problems (mostly short disconnections that forces me to toggle OFF/ON the wifi on the iPhone) that I've been experiencing since the beta-testing of iOS 17 this summer.

So far so good, no major bug and decent battery life on an iPhone 12 with 87% battery health.
Hopefully wifi issues are history, but right now it's too early to tell.
Well unfortunately the WiFi issues are still here. Hopefully they are gone by the time 17.2 is finalized, but I’m not holding my breath.

Beta 2 seems to be running fine for me. Similar bugs to those in the previous GM release with a few new beta bugs thrown in for good measure.

Not a bad beta at all although there aren’t many benefits to installing it. Journal goes right over my head unfortunately but I’m sure it’ll be quite useful for folks who like it.

Beta 2 unfortunately STILL does not fix the random malfunction of always on display. On my 15PM, the screen still shuts off in a darker room even if I'm sitting next to the phone and turn the screen back on by tapping on it. Apple's attempt at an intelligent AoD is very half assed; if I'm turning the display back on, isn't it obvious I am next to the phone and want the display ON, Apple? Unbelievable that this behaviour has been happening since 16.3b1 and still not fixed. The AoD on my S23 Ultra NEVER shuts off.

Still not possible to flash iPhone 15 Pro (Max) using Windows iTunes, so no way to downgrade if the beta is bad. I wonder why no one else seems to have noticed that?
Have you tried flashing using 3U tools?

Hello all,
I encounter more and more issues with CarPlay and an Audi A4.
Am I alone?
No. You are not alone. I have not been able to send or reply to messages using Siri in car play since 17.0.1. I have contacted apple senior tech and they said it’s a known issue. We have to wait for a fix which isn’t in 17.2b2 yet. We have the same issue on different cars (Volvo, Lexus and Audi and Honda) and iPhone 15 pro and iPhone 12 Pro

I'm not seeing 'more and more issues with CarPlay' for my Xs (various 17 betas and every official 17 release) and BMW (iDrive7)... 🤷‍♂️

Mind sharing which issues? Use my iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 17.2 DB2 with my 2019 Audi A4 and haven’t had issues with CarPlay.

When I checked my iPad this morning there was a pop up asking to enable Live Activity on a game from last night..

And I got a Live Activity on my iPad automatically for the Detroit Pistons last night. So sounds like they’re making this more automatic and less opt in.

CarPlay just doesn’t connect to the car anymore. Sometime it works but most of the time I should connect again the phone to the car.
I don’t remember having so much issues with previous OS and it’s confirmed by my wife.

Have you tried a different cable (assume it’s not wireless)? The cable seems to be the biggest cause of CarPlay issues I’ve seen on Reddit.

Mine is wireless and it connects and works with exception of being able to reply to or send messages using Siri. I have done DFU, set up as new and tested again and the issue is still there. Apple installed diagnostics on my phone for three days and the report has been submitted to engineering. Engineering said this is a known issue as well as other bugs with car play- like volume issues, connection with a cable, wireless connection. Bugs can affected all models of cars and phones with running ios 17. I was told to wait for a software fix now that it’s confirmed it’s not my car or my phone causing the issue. Just wish car play fix was in 17.2

I got another one for the Knicks tonight. I was confused why I didn't get one for the NY Rangers a couple nights ago, but it turns out the TV app doesn't support Live Activities for NHL.
