Both lockscreen&homescreen weather widget is broken for me on 17.2RC
You gotta love the Widget experience — has been broken since initially introduced.

I have the lock-screen and Home screen set to different photos. If I reboot, the home screen comes up with the lock-screen photo. To fix it I have to, each time, pair the two, save, then unpair. Anyone can confirm?

I have this issue - did on last week's beta as well. My "fix" is, after the phone reboots, just to give it a few seconds before the first unlock.

Is the RC the version that I will get if I opt into the public beta now? I'm traveling and was hesitant to put a true beta on my phone, but I'm ok to put an RC (knowing it's not without risk).

Just went from iOS 17.1.2 to the 17.2 RC… didn’t realize the Feedback app would appear with the RC.

Assuming the public release next week is the same build as this RC, will the Feedback app remain on my device?

Yes, the public beta is the RC. The RC isn't free of risk, if a known bug is found between now and the release date to the public, Apple will put out another version, but to answer your question, you will get the RC if you update to the public beta.

To make the feedback app disappear, just change your setting in Settings -> General -> Software update to not show beat releases.

Turn off betas under the software update section in iOS - I think the Feedback app should go away then.

Yeah I did that, but the Feedback app still remains…

Maybe I just need to restart. No biggie.

EDIT: yep, a restart removed the Feedback app

Hello
Is there a disadvantage of going from beta 4 to RC or is it better to restore completely?
Not really. Some will prefer to install via the ipsw file verses the OTA version, but either should work ok. Probably "best" to upgrade via the ipsw file but either way seems to work fine for most folks. No real need to totally restore though.

Currently en route using Apple Maps on the bus and the mapping indicator isn’t in the Dynamic Island (although currently-playing music is)…strange

Never mind; I ended routing, closed Maps, and then relaunched it and now Maps is functioning properly with the Dynamic Island

Home screen is fine but the Lock Screen just says Weather unavailable …

Update: noticed that UV is busted too.
Mine was like that yesterday for several hours, then all of the sudden, it starting working by itself.
