So what’s new in this 17.3 Beta 2 (those who installed it)
I am seeing no changes.

Not seeing anything new/different either.

I had an issue in the previous beta: iCloud calendar events created on another device didn't show up in the home-screen widgets (although they do on my lockscreen widget) without opening the Calendar app. Still the same on this beta. The events do sync (creating and deleting) as they show immediately on the lock-screen widget.

I think all home-screen widgets are simply not updating regularly.

My update worked, despite Backtap being turned on. So far everything works okay, but wondering if it stays this way. Has anyone experienced any problems after initial successful installation?

No problems here, I installed yesterday.... but I always had back tap disabled.

The only change I have noticed is that my Action button was reset from a shortcut I had configured to the magnifying glass. No issue with the update process on my side fortunately.

Hello all, and happy new years! 🎉
I have successfully installed the beta 2 yesterday on my 15 Pro. I read a lot of bad comments about a boot loop.

Do you know if the boot loop can be caused by a simple reboot too?

Installed just fine for me (Back Tap off). Vibrations feel slightly tweaked and the whole system seems snappier/more fluid than on beta 1, but maybe that can be chalked up to placebo effect. The display calibration also looks like it’s been fine-tuned on my iPhone 15, but again: hard to tell with just the naked eye.

So far this beta reminds me of 17.2.1.
Issues so far (less than 24 hours):

1. Had a couple of apps crash after opening from Notification
- Kingdom of Heckfire
- Proton Mail
The app would open then close after the first screen appeared. There is no corresponding entry in Analytics.

2. Weather is acting odd. Started snowing last night and Weather was saying partly cloudy. This morning it is cloudy and cold while Weather is saying partly cloudy.

Other than that, nothing different than 17.2.1. I didn’t run beta 1 so cannot speak to difference from there.

Didn't catch this yesterday, but the release notes now specifically call out the boot loop issue as the reason why beta 2 was withdrawn:

In nightstand mode the clock never changes. The clock just freezes at the time the phone was attached to the nightstand charger.

Not unexpected but I have a couple of apps that you can log into and open hut they only display blank screens.
Both are smart print ends - ex: Frontsteps.com

All the rest of the apps are opening and running like normal except for the occasional app crash when opening is triggered from Notifications.

Safari on iPadOS is really bad. Some sites can crash the entire iPad, like adidas website in my case
I agree. I have one iPad on beta 1 and one on beta 2. Safari in Beta 2 is not functioning properly on a number of websites. Also a number of notifications that load Safari then jump to an app just display a blank page in the app.

in terms of websites please feel free to load this what’s on at Brighton Dome website in beta 1 and beta 2. Beta 1 shows events you can book, beta 2 hides them.

If one is using the Magic Keyboard with the iPad Pro, then the keyboard performance in relation to the iPad is also affected at times.

Unfortunately my iPad Pro is on 17.3 DB 1. I never had a chance to update to DB2 as it was pulled.
