I have definitely experienced bugs way worse than this with android. I went to take a picture with the camera and the whole phone froze up. The pictures wouldn't save to the gallery even though the shutter sound would go off. I had to hard restart the phone for it to finally work again. Haven't had any major bugs like that on iOS. Not saying that iOS is perfect or better by any means but people have random bug experiences on both.

Am I missing something? I turned on the stolen device protection, but no matter what I try, I keep getting the fallback to asking for the device PIN. Is it because the phone is at home vs outside the home?

Curious what you mean by "broke"? Physically or operational? Apple has a warranty if your device is not functioning as well as a 14 day return for any reason. Never heard of them refusing to honor their warranty so definitely curious about your situation.
I’ve been using Apple for well over 20 years and taken back and had replaced quite a few bits of hardware, in and out of warranty that Apple replaced out of kindness… so I don’t believe you, sorry.
And they didn’t steel anything… if that’s the attitude from you going into the store, maybe that’s the problem why you’re not being treated well. 🤷🏽

How about the macOS and iOS syncing bug, Has that been fixed to if I might ask? I remember seeing someone say half the functionality was back in that it'll sync but only if you disconnect your apple watch now!
Will only do a proper sync when the Apple Watch is disconnected (turned off) But it is copying the logs to the Mac and deleting some log files from iPhone. Better than being completely broken in 17.2.1 but not fixed.
Waze and Google Maps still aren't playing nicely with CarPlay Split View - Google Maps only shows its icon, and Waze sometimes does not update.
. But, no surprise.
I suspect that it’s a Google (Waze) issue and not a CarPlay issue.
I use a navigation app that's only usable in my country and it's been doing the same.
It doesn't open when it's in Split View and when I try to open it, it crashes after few seconds so I have to go to any other app like Spotify and then manually open the navigation app on my phone, force close it, open it again and then most of the time it'll open in CarPlay.
I thought that's developer's fault but after trying google maps and reading here on MacRumors, it looks like there's some problems with (every?) 3rd party navigation apps.
Waze and Google Maps were fine in iOS 17.2.1, and up to 17.3b2
Just updated and all is working very well. For those having some issues, I saw in another thread about a VPN affecting various apps. Something to check...
