On my iPad the region is shown as unknown but on my iPhone it is shown as BE.
It seems like it simply took a while to update (or for Apple to sort out the back-end).

Mine now shows as "CH", which is where I live (and which network provider I'm using) and isn't where my Apple ID is set to.

I switched to another e-sim (to a different country), rebooted, and the phone still shows as being in region CH.

Is anyone having an issue with Babbel with this Beta? App isn’t working and even in Safari it isn’t working. I keep getting the below error:
Allow Lesson Audio

HOLY CRAP…does Safari natively support .webm playback now?! This is huge (for those of us who use 4chan 🤓)

Guess I won’t be needing you anymore, VLC 🫤

If I restore from the mobile, yes, it asks you, but in this case the ideal is to restore with the ipsw file with iTunes. and that's how you lose the esim, it already happened to me once.
I’ve tested this so many times that I can confidently say that it doesn’t. You must have done something else that messed up with it (or maybe it wasn’t even actually erased).
If not, it would be nice to actually have you reproduce that because my own experience (multiple times) + a Google search shows that it survives a restore.

Thread for those unaware: Apple Discussion Thread

Take a look at that thread. But basically a lot of cars are affected. My BMWs are effected (so any BMW with Bluetooth from 2011-2016), a lot of Audi/VW models, even hearing aids and Bluetooth speakers, etc.

Looks like there’s a memory overflow bug when the new A17 chip tries to communicate with Bluetooth chips made by Cambridge Silicon Radio using the BlueCore-6 chip design.

Wired CarPlay has worked flawlessly in our Renault car, yet had stopped working in our VW since iOS 15, if I remember correctly. It is a bit of a lottery, as it relies on both sides (Apple & your car maker). Have you tried using it with any wireless CarPlay dongles?

Still shows Unknown here 😵‍💫 hopefully switches to DE at some point soon. Everything but my Apple ID is Germany

Next time I cycle over the border to Germany or France (I'm only a few km from both) I'll have to see if my region changes. I suspect it won't, but then I'm curious as to what it's using to decide. Maybe it takes an average of something and then doesn't update often.

To me 17.4 has been buttery smooth with great battery life, I just posted in the Battery Health topic that 17.4 has been awesome battery wise.

I was on 17.3, charged to 80% limit, off the charger. Then downloaded 17.4, after 10h20min of usage I was at 19%. I call that phenomenal battery life! Im very happy how stable 17.4 is, its by far the most stable experience iOS 17.* have had so far. This is so stable and polished, it feels like this is what stable 17.0 shouldve been. Apple has done great job!
A general comment here & not calling out this post specifically. There is another post in this thread where someone noted they had to downgrade back to 17.3 because 17.4 B1 completely trashed their battery life.

This quoted post reads almost the exact opposite. Could members include what model iPhone they have when it comes to posting results every iPhone user will experience, like battery life?

Considering Apple allows the public to test betas, I would bet they do monitor threads like this one. I mean, Apple would be foolish if they didn't.

A bug that I discovered in Safari browser

1. Navigate to r/iosbeta through google search
2. Hit filter posts -> new
3. Notice how reddit becomes unresponsive to touches

Are you guys having this issue?

If I dont use filter then page stays responsive, might also be a bug on reddit not safari.

Haven't see this posted but have most of the modem firmwares regressed? Specifically the 11/XR series? The 1st post shows a regression but the XR has been on 6.0.0 pretty much since iOS 17.1. I did see one post from @Banglazed that the 15 series went up. Perhaps the 1st post spoiler just has not been updated?

I saw a note earlier that

Is WiFi better? For whatever reason, since 17.0 neither my iPhone 15 PM or iPad will connect to an unsecured WiFi network. Kind of a pain....
The 15 series came with iOS 17 pre-installed. Not exactly following. Are you stating your 15PM has never connected to unsecured WIFI?

Im actually starting to really hate this wider search bar in Safari, I used to just tap the edge of the search bar to navigate to other tab I had open. Now its much more difficult to do. I can still swipe to different tab, but that simple tap was so much better.

Well you know what to do!

The sticker option in imessages is blank when trying to use stickers. Had no issue in ios 17.3.

According to Brandon Butch these are the combined criteria including GPS location, guessing the first 3 have to match?

Turns out it was Wipr 2 causing this issue, the dev released an update that fixed this issue.

I’ve seen it on the 15 series.

One example is transitioning from Wi-Fi to cellular. Flipping into Airplane mode for a moment fixes it. This is on Verizon here in the US, SO YMMV.

Anyone else have weird text input issues say in Gmail? or even just Notes? You're typing away, then the current paragraph just glitches, it's like autocorrect, but it's glitching chunks of sentences or paragraphs?
Yes! I do. It’s really annoying. Two things I do to revert back to what I want to type is “shake to undo” and then undo. And the other is hit the back button with the x on it.

I’ve already restarted and rebooted my phone multiple times and it does not fix this issue.

I find it is an issue in everything including the native Mail app, Gmail, notes, outlook, etc

Any solution you have found?
