ScreenTime seems not to work for me when my son requests an app on his 17.3 iPhone. I get an error message when authorising it. I guess lots of changes are being made to screenTime for the EU update.

To put this to rest once and for all, here are the countries where the new app process (aka sideloading) will be available:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.

Well UK maybe soon, if ever the Digital Services bill gets royal ascent before the general election.
However like the EU legislation, it may also see the end of Whatsapp and iMessage if they adopt the whole lot.

If posts here are any indication, seems like lower interest than usual. Maybe caused by the 17.3 beta panic?

I think mainly it’s because aside from the side loading capability, which does not affect many of us (yet), this is a pretty dull release. All of the “missing” iOS 17 features have now been delivered, so there’s not much to get excited about.

Has anyone had any problems with announced notifications from Siri while wearing AirPods on this beta? Haven't used a beta in awhile, thinking about trying this one, but one time I had a terrible bug that would shoot my volume levels to 100% while Siri was reading a notification.

Works ok for me. (Volume level doesn’t change while reading notifications)

Its difficult to test the side loading while there are no third party app stores to add. Bit like testing the first ever telephone- who ya gonna call?

One thing that I found in Safari (might be a bug), is that there appears to be somekind of a empty space up top. When you enter a website, you can actually scroll up and this empty space appears.

Edit: Looks like this bug comes and goes, sometimes its there and then its gone.

On my iPhone 13 Pro, this first beta has broken Apple Pay. The card does not appear when you bring the phone close to a dataphone, nor when you press the power button twice.
The Face ID animation is extremely slow, before the little icon with the app appeared directly, now it takes up to a second to start the animation once the app that is protected with Face ID is opened.
In the analysis and improvements section, the option to share logs with developers has disappeared.
If I click on a Health or Twitter notification, the app closes suddenly and the notification disappears. It has only happened to me in these two apps.

Update now using ipsw, but the errors persist. Restoration is not an option at the moment, because I use esim and my operator forces me to go to a store more than 50 kilometers from my house for a duplicate.

FYI: you can restore while keeping your eSIM.

Anyone have issues with the keyboard? It looks like ive had a stroke when i type now and its never been a problem until this release. the delete key is removing multiple characters at a time as well.

The ideal would be to reinstall the system by restoring, and thus the esim is lost. I already lost one like this and I was left without service
Restoring does not erase the eSIM unless you specifically erase the eSIM when prompted.
The eSIMs are stored on a separate chip that survive restores.
That has been covered time and time again.
