Although I am with you in being largely satisfied with iOS 17, we can’t discount that posters here do have actual issues. They may not be widespread but when they affect you, you don’t care: it’s a problem.
This is the flip side of my usual advice not to base decisions based on the chatter in these forums. Don’t entirely discount problems you see here, either.
What exactly is wrong for you with iOS 17.3.1?

My phone (15 Pro Max) has shut itself down 2 times on 17.4 betas so far.
Of course I share your comment, but as I said in the previous post the errors are usually subjective, since each one makes, installs, deletes, reinstalls, makes a forced closure that all that can be translated into a malfunction and performance of the device, but I share your position.
anyone see like-for-like (17.2 or 17.3 vs. 17.4b2) battery decline?
I've been using optimized charging (not the 80%), but had to go full charge with this one; my battery declined on a weekend by 30% over 5 hours while sitting idle (weekend = less email, calendar and Teams chatter).
It could also be due to a slightly weaker cellular signal in 17.4 (this happens from time to time with iOS versions, and is later remedied). I'll put it in airplane mode and see if that changes anything.

I came here for this.. have been pulling my hair out, I can view files in shared folders (including new ones so ruled out caching i think) but can not open, quick view any file (all files are listed as zero bytes when I do an info on them) - I am guessing this is a permissions issue - I can't create new folders or add any files to the folder either, so glad it's not just me.. (i only installed the beta to see if it fixed my sticker issue which is still broke for me.. that's for another thread of couse)

Haven’t seen this on the 15PM but it has shown up a few times on the iPad Pro 11 with this beta.

Have run into it via the app - the app opens to play a video via Notifications.
I end up with a black screen. A second attempt encounters no issue. This happens only on a first attempt.

My 14 Pro Max has not wanted to wake up twice on the 17.4 ß -- the first time I held the power button and the phone would vibrate, but the screen wound not come on. Today, I just laid the phone back down for about five minutes and it lit up. Apple sent me a notification that I was activating the Emergency SOS and asked it this was a real emergency or a phone malfunction, so I filled out the form for the later.
I like this kind of posts. Issue properly described for others to reproduce and share their feedback ID.
I have tested it as well just to find out that I have the same problem. Reporting and referencing.

Edit: My language is set to English(US)
Edit2: I tested it in my native language (Slovak) and it has worked properly. The cursor was moved to a new line.

Something you said in your post, triggered something for me:
Instead of saying “new paragraph”, I said “new line”. That actually works.
But still, “new paragraph” is a much better way to put it.
On the improvement front, with Conversation mode on on my AirPods Pro 2, I noted just now that podcasts pause when you stop to talk to someone and actually rewind a couple of seconds once you are done. That is long overdue.

I was puzzled why the functionality worked in Slovak and not in English which could be considered the iPhone “main language”, but didn’t give that thought much time and went out with the dogs ☺️☺️. Anyway I guess both sentences, “new line” or “new paragraph” should be working by default.

No response from Siri if internet is off, just a notification banner informing unavailability.
Text input and editing still ******* sucks big time, as it has since forever. Keeps grabbing words while you’re trying to do something else and autocorrecting to gibberish etc.

Anyone else see the audio controls on the Lock Screen disappearing randomly and sometimes not coming back? It started with this beta
Clear history & cache on safari does not seem to log me out on every page for some reason like I was still logged in on Macrumors and some other pages but not on others like Google. Don’t know what the deciding factor is
Still having it in the final release in my school district. Clever (education software) are turning support tickets in right and left.
