Looks like apple fixed the control center bug that kept showing airpods icon next to the battery percentage even though airpods were not connected.

Still no sign of sideloading :(

It is still in the background and we will not see anything real until iOS 17.4 public release in March. Even then it might take a while for third party app stores to propagate and build their app libraries. We also should not forget that the EU has not yet given its official OK to Apple’s proposed remedies, and might well still ask them to change things. Early days, basically.

so we will never be able to install .ipa-files?

Hard to tell yet about the standalone files, a-la macOS. I mean we will be able to install Apple “notarized” apps from third party stores once iOS 17.4 is out, but not so sure about just downloading and installing it from a browser. I guess Apple will try their best to discourage users from doing it, however the EU might ask Apple to allow it at some point. We should see in about a month or so…

What Apple has done will definitely not be "OK'd" by the European Union. Specially that install fee...

I would not use absolute words like “definitely”, as stuff was and is still happening behind the scenes between the EU and Apple. I mean, there must have been more than just coffee and croissants between Cook & Vestager back in January. 😉

Now if they could just fix the keyboard...(It disappears when I am trying to type an email or reply to a message sometimes and I can't get it back without gettting out, clearing cache and going back in) I have reported it....

Not had this at all.
Try a reinstall could fix, or restore back onto the beta if your on Mac.

Is anyone experiencing issues with AirPlay 2? I can stream as normal to all my devices, but I can’t control the volume of each device using the sliders in control centre 1707934496925.png

Apple Music still locks up and/or crashes. Still cannot connect to iTunes Store, Books or the App Store.

I live my life a quarter mile at a time.
Find My is def a bug in iOS 17.4b2 (maybe b3).

Unsharing and re-sharing seems to have sorted it for me w/r/t AirTags. Unsure re: phones/tablets.

This is why I keep one device on prod/GA and not all on beta.

Did the jump to the 17.4 B3 yesterday and it’s very good so far.
The animation issues with the volume sliders and the squared notification boxes seem to be fixed.
Overall very fluid, animations feel a bit faster and more fluid compared to 17.3.
Also the laggy keyboard again seems to be improved.
17.4 keyboard vs the one from the 17.0 release should be a heavy difference.

Regarding the laggy keyboard, try using Microsoft Teams chat and @ someone and it slows to an unbearable crawl.

Don't know if that’s an iOS or Teams client issue.

Oh okay. Not using Teams on the phone. Sounds more like a teams issue but who knows.
