She is not ignoring me, if that what you ask, but she does not recognise my wife, when I ask her:
- "Siri, sent text to my wife", she replies back:
- "I do not see your wife in your Contacts. What is your wife first and last name?"

So I feel your pain brother. Siri may be ignoring you, but she is clearly offended that I am referring to another woman as to my wife. Not sure which is worse 😂😂

This has been hit or miss throughout the beta testing for quite some time despite I have my wife in contacts set as my wife.

EDIT: Replying to you made me look into it more closely and for some reason, all my linked contacts in my Contact Card have disappeared. Problem solved at least for me. 🤷‍♂️ . Anyway I noticed that Siri settings toggle: Always Listen for "Siri"and "Hey Siri" is disabled, but it wasn't me who disabled it, must have happened after some beta being installed. In a car I summon her via a button on a steering wheel, not sure how is it with you.
Interesting… Didn’t think to check those before but after reading this I see mine disabled as well. This beta must have flipped them during the upgrade. 🙂👍

I have both an issue in CarPlay and using Siri to send a message. In both cases Siri asks what app do I want to use. I respond iMessage and it sends fine. I had thought I needed to set a default messaging app between WhatsApp and iMessage but I can't find such a setting. This is new on this Beta.
That is not new. say instead “Siri send an imessage to ….”
or “Siri Send a Whatsapp to …”

I have to say that is one of the most annoying things. I noticed this morning, for example, that WiFi calling had been turned off. I have to turn this back on virtually every update.
interesting.
I have WiFi calling on two SIM's (both active).

I found that turning off SIM > waiting 5 minutes > restarting, turning back on can "jog" the SIM info.
Then it goes through the whole WiFi calling thing again - plus calling on Watch, iPad, computer.
(similar to ejecting a physical SIM, or microSD card for sideloading apps in iOS 17.4)

For me it’s simply a matter of turning it back on. It seems that the betas just switch it off. Not a big deal, ultimately, but it’s annoying.

Did they fixed Dynamic island animation? The first animation of jumping app into Dynamic island is very laggy for me on 15 Pro Max.

I am experiencing this during music playback or navigation. (Spotify, Waze)

Anyone else having issues with inactive/unresponsive touch targets? I’ve had sporadic issues, most recently 10 minutes ago in the Google app.

:eek:No way... still? Unbelievable.
I've seen some theories that the auto dark-mode setting might be related, but I've never been able to test it properly.

Well, as an additional data point: I never ever had the squared notification bug. Not once since I've owned iPhones. And I have the auto dark-mode setting disabled (I use permanent dark mode).

I sold the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I cannot tolerate 2 years old bugs. I am out of the train. I've been experiencing performance issues, animation stutters, keyboard lags, WiFi connection issue, widget disappearing.
What Phone you rocking now?

That's weird-- I am really critical of any tech issues but on my 15 Pro Max I've had 0 performance issues, animation stutters, keyboard lags or wifi connection issues. The main things that drive me crazy are the square-notifications bug, and the poor responsiveness/reliability of the swipe-down gesture directly above the dynamic island. 🤣

Can someone please post a screenshot of the square-notification bug? I'm not sure whether or not I have seen it.

iPhone 14 PM - iOS 17.4,

Quick question: Has anyone’s Visual Voicemail stopped working?

VVM is missing from all my voicemails (15PM - Mint/TMo). I can listen but the transcription is gone.
I reached out my carrier but they say all is well on their side - my Android VVM is working fine.
Have reset Network Settings - no help.

I can listen to VM but the transcription is gone.

Mine still stutters especially on music app flying into the Dynamic Island. Didn’t start until 17.3
