My configuration looks the same.
Min SMB2
Max SMB3

I have SMB v1 disabled because of security concernes.

I just tried to connect with local DNS Name and with IP directly. I have no issues with both.
 
I always get this message and then an empty folder is displayed

The process could not be completed because an unknown error occurred.

Try again. If this does not work, quit the app, restart it and try again.

hi i have an iphone 15 pro / ios 17.3.1 any reason for upgrading to 17.4 ?
i meant that seems many peeps complaining about a lot of issues with the last update . thx!

To me, iPadOS 17.4 is the buggiest iOS/ipados version ever since iOS 4. literally every app freezes, I had to hard-reset my iPad Air 5 like 20 times now. anyone else?? I know apple is really lagging behind these days with bugs but this version is straight up pathetic. I can’t paste text from notes to my banking app anymore, Netflix app doesn’t even load anything besides a neverending loading circle, if I download something via chrome it freezes, if I go to iCloud Drive to open the downloaded file the app is completely blank and everything requires a hard reset to get it working again (for like one time). If I try to shutdown the iPad in the normal way, there is a black screen forever and I cant turn it on anymore. Wtf is apple doing

Yes, it’s a must due to two active exploits which have been patched in 17.4. I don’t think there’s any other way to get them (not aware of a separate security response).

thank you! but i saw a lot of complaints about bugs etc.
 
Experiencing some minor bugs in iOS 17.4.

I share location with several people in Find, but when I use the Find Widget, and have to choose which person should be displayed in that widget, I can only see phone numbers and email addresses, and not the names linked to the numbers/mail addresses. If I open the Find app, people's names appear as normal.

Another minor bug. Don't know if it matters. Inside Apple ID > Password And Security, my Apple ID email is blank - usually can see my address.

I just tested it with my iPhone 15 Pro Max and with my iPad Pro M1 and I can connect to my Synology and to my Microsoft Fileserver via Samba without issues.

I had (have) a pretty major bug with 17.4.
Previously connected to server via SMBv1.

(Shared) drive is no longer available.
But Files will not allow me to "eject" it (the icon comes and goes).

Why is this a problem?
When I go to share Photos via iMessage, it's stuck at "preparing".

Then, Files hard freezes my iPad. I can switch to Center Stage and get my desktop back, but cannot click on any of the icons.

SOLUTION - had to delete Files (app), log out of Dropbox (which was connected, but showed "paused sync" exclamation mark even though it ... was still syncing), and then log back into everything.
 
Query re: RCS.

I know Apple are looking to implement this feature at 'some point' but I text a friend who's on Android (think it's a Pixel 7) and when I went to reply to a subsequent message just it said 'Read' underneath their green bubble.

Never seen this before with SMS prior to iOS 17.4....

For all of Saturday, was getting repeated Notifications that AirPods Pro were moving with me.
They were mine and I was usually wearing them.

Then Sunday it went away.

When I looked at the time line, it was occurring while I wasn’t wearing them but I had my 15PM with me while driving to pick up my new puppy a couple of hundred miles away.

that makes it even stranger.

Have no clue what 17.4 is doing.

Are they still listed as assigned to your appleID?

I had that at some point on iOS 17.0. I had to factory reset and re-pair my AirPods Pro, then it solved itself.

Nope. Can’t agree with any of this. All working fine on my iPad. And it’s 3 years old.

If I were you I would have done restore by now as your iPad sounds hammered.

I have that Apple ID missing on mine as well!

Interestingly my iPad Pro 11 gen4 has few bugs. Nothing really major.

Now my 15 ProMax is a mess! This is my second 15PM - first was replaced for a WiFi issue.
I did an ipsw ”re-update” and still seeing the same issues.
For example see the attached - all the badges are wrong. MS Teams I was able to fix today by uninstalling and reinstalling the MS Suite.

Is there any way of getting the find my widgets working again as they are blank and not displaying the location...thanks!
 
Syncing issue is not resolved.
The MacBook Finder or Windows iTunes remain stuck at "Syncing - (Step 2 of 3) - Preparing to Sync" message while trying to sync logs from iPhone.

Give it time - mine took a few minutes the first time. (macOS 14.3 and .4, iOS17.4.beta 2, I think.)
