- I feel like FaceID is slower, there's like 1-2s pause in the animation, the "face" shows up, pause and then it scans. It was almost instant on 17.3.1. It's happening everywhere I can log in with FaceID, even in photos app but unlocking the phone is the same, no difference to me.

☝️This is exactly what I noticed first after updating to iOS 17.4!
I thought I was the only one with this happening, but luckily I'm not alone in this. I really noticed it in all the apps that use face ID to log in, but not on the lock screen. It feels like 1-2s slower on every app that uses face ID, hope they fix it in a future update.

Not sure if iOS 17.4 caused this but when in iMessage Show/Hide alerts are not syncing across any of my devices. MacBook, iPhone, 2 iPads. Share Focus works, but I would have to manually hide alerts on a conversation in iMessage on each device.

All devices are up to date. I even made messages "Unread" and I can see that it auto syncs.

Anyone else experience this? Or am I overthinking this and it never was a thing that shared across all the devices? Tried rebooting and closing/opening Messages.

Guess I should note in this thread that my recent 16.->17.4 update also blanked all the saved Voicemails from the Phone app. I posted in iPhone Tips, Help and Troubleshooting for comment, because am not sure whether a (to me, drastic) erase/restore from pre-update iCloud or iTunes backup would bring them back. Neither Apple or Carrier support helped, and it may not be worth buying an application just to extract them from the rather inscrutable backup files saved by iTunes in the mobilesync folder.
