Battery life on my iPad Pro (M2, 12.9") has been pretty poor; seems to be attributed to any widgets that update (offenders were Home, by far, and News). Removed those widgets and the hourly drain seems to have diminished greatly. Not sure how Weather doesn't seem to be a culprit, but (according to the report on the Battery Usage page) it's never one of my top 20 usage apps. 🤷🏾‍♂️

iPhone (14PM) has remained rather stellar on both betas; Watch (Ultra) definitely settled and improved from beta 1 to 2.

I think I'm having the best battery life I've ever had on my iPhone 14 Pro Max on this beta. I hope Apple can maintain this battery life for the final release.
This makes me excited for the public beta. I always end the day in the 40s, an improvement to that would be amazing.

Until several years ago we could see screen active time since last full charge, then they changed to last 24hrs. Is it still possible to know how long lasts my fully charged battery?

While I was sleeping battery dropped from %65 to %58 in 6.5 hours, although there are zero activities, zero screen on/off time in the statistics. Is this normal?

Day 1: pretty bad. Didn’t really use my 14 pro all that much and I ended the day with roughly 40%. Beta 2 i’d end it with 60-70% easily

I know it’ll just be indexing still so I’m not judging it too much, thought I’d share my day 1 experience anyway 🤠

5% is about right. It’s your cellular activity.

If you want to decrease that even more, stick your phone in airplane mode before bed. But then you are completely un-callable in the night.

But then the WiFi will drain the battery during the night and the same 5% (if you read the conversation) will be lost. 👍🏼

Air plain mode kills the connectivity and potential battery drain he might be experiencing.

Wifi is so much more efficient than mobile data mate. As per picture above, I use Airplane Mode, WiFi with wifi calling.

Can confirm this does help battery drain. In my last home my room had next to no signal and so I’d just use WiFi + WiFi calling with airplane mode on and I had 0 drain. This was on stable iOS 16 but I’d imagine it still applies here (minus the usual beta background tasks)

Your post seemed to imply you think it should use less battery.
Not sure what your problem is mate, you piped up with an irrelevant comment of ‘it still uses cellular’ trying to be clever which was not the topic being discussed, and now your questioning me that I imply it should use the same amount of battery.

IMO, it does use less battery, and happy to be proven wrong…

Battery life is definitely much worse for me this beta. 3.5 hours of SOT so far today and at 33% battery for an estimated 5-5.5 hours of SOT if run down to zero battery. I think I would’ve had an extra ~20% battery than I do now if I was still on beta 2.
