In the mean time, I'm suffering Outlook as a mail client.

Sending mails using Apple Mail still seems to work, which is good as Outlook can't handle multiple email addresses against within account.
This is why I think beta testing is important and exciting. I am the exact opposite of you on my email. I hate Apple mail with a passion and my chosen email client is outlook. Outlook can most definitely handle multiple email addresses in a single account. I have four different accounts in one account on my outlook client. Along with also having an exchange account. And I could add my Google account and my Apple account anytime I want to.

So you mean that it is officially that from now on everyone can have access to beta releases WITHOUT being enrolled in paid developer software programe? WOW!
I have total confidence that the fact that people who are not developers can still get the beta is in itself a bug. I feel confident that they are going to cut this off. Otherwise why even bother with the new system.

Edit: so after I posted this I saw the post that contains the new Apple developer account information. I have been playing the 99 dollars a year for 13 years now. But if this is how they are going to do it going forward , I will not be paying any more.

Oh man… I just installed Sonoma and the new “video” wallpapers are really mesmerizing. They should bring these to iOS!

Thank you. This feature convinced me to buy an AirPods Pro gen 2 :( Bye Pro gen 1.
It's still like a teensy bit buggy, but frankly for how impossible to code for properly it is (theres just so many variables) i found it worked extremely well in my use case, which is around large machinery and talking to people.

Anyone else experiencing issues getting the Unlock with iPhone setting for your watch to toggle on?

edit:
Had to unpair iphone & watch and repair them to get the `Unlock with iPhone` setting to work correctly.
You might have missed the fact that your watch actually unpaired from your phone during the update - it did for me too.

Anyone try their Apple Watch with the watchOS 10 beta? I have a Series 4 and am curious. It's a t build, but I would guess that if the iOS 17 beta is good, the watchOS beta is probably decent as well.
I'm running it on my Ultra and my SE without any problems.

Is Standby working for anyone?
I have it turned on in settings, but nothing happening
It needs to be on a charger/plugged in and placed in horizontal position. The first time I tired it the phone took a minute or so to kick in. After that it works almost immediately.

so i purchased an developer account for no reason? lol

Well technically according to the chart they posted there is a lot more stuff available in the paid version (if you need or use those tools) If not actually developing apps, then perhaps no reason to.

Anyone having an issue with SMS messages? Did a restart, airplane mode, taking SIM out as well. It’s like this on my side but my partner can see them perfectly fine.. Been this way since update, it’s kinda annoying to get the text of it not sending…
Seems there are a few others with same issue. Thats somewhat of a show stopper for me as I send a LOT of mixed SMS/iMessages in groups and such. Most in the groups are SMS. Not sure I want to deal with that for 3 weeks.

Has anyone found any changes to the mail app??

Since the ota went terribly wrong yesterday, I downloaded the ipsw straight from apple today (I believe that was a first for me!) which was pretty wild. I’m gonna try updating through iTunes to see if that fixes the issues I was having yesterday. I just ate some pizza so I’m ready to go! 🍕

I installed 17 last night on my 13 pro max (because why not) and it seems very stable so far. Even my battery life is great. As I use it more I'll probably find bugs but it is a beta 1 after all.

For those still asking about how to download the iPSWs, this is the exact link-

Click on that and sign in with your Apple ID. It’s that simple, and free.

Note: You need to install the MobileDevice.pkg. Download the Xcode beta, then right click it in finder and click show contents, then go to packages and it’ll be right there.
