iOS 17 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

3rd party keyboards are completely broken for me in beta 2. If I select one, it jumps back to the Apple English keyboard. Have tried to disable/enable, uninstall/reinstall but can't get them to work. I've tried Gboard, Giphy and GIF Keyboard. Anyone else has this problem?

I noticed this with Bitmoji keyboard too, but so far only once and I haven’t seen it again yet. Not that I use Bitmoji all that often, but I wasn’t able to jump to Bitmoji keyboard earlier today but just tried it now and it worked. I’ll have to keep an eye on it and see if it happens again and under what circumstances…

Ha. I had to turn it off because it was CONSTANTLY popping up on me in the morning when I was catching up on notifications without my glasses on before getting up for the day. 😄

I noticed audio messages are not showing the caption transcript as they are supposed to. Anyone else?

Edit. Audio message transcripts work but only on 1:1 messages. Group chats don’t have audio transcript

Edit 2: never mind. It’s kinda broken on 1:1 chats too. Works when it wants to.

The “which app to use” context in CarPlay - Siri is $&?#%! useless. Is there a way to set a default selection?

“Shuffle my _____ playlist.”

“Which app would you like to use?

Okay. *sigh*
“Apple Music.”

“A quick trip to Apple.com should be able to help you with that.”

Start over: “Shuffle my ______ playlist ON APPLE MUSIC.”

“Here’s [insert completely unrelated genre and/or topic] on Apple Music.”

Now the lady in the car in the next lane over thinks I have AGGRESSIVE Tourette’s.

May not be a “bug” per se, but even Siri wasn’t this inept for me in CarPlay prior to this B2 update.

I went through this very same sequence today as well. I hope it’s a bug.

Something I just realized: you know how usually when an app crashes or you quit it from the multitasking switcher, it usually crashes again when you try to reopen it right away? It seems like this was fixed in iOS 17. I’m closing apps and trying to reopen them as quickly as I possibly can and they’re not crashing.

Yes I get the same thing for other apps. Privacy Pro: on screen 1 m; background 11 hours. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just came here to ask if anyone has had the same issue/or found a solution for CarPlay not connecting to my phone through bluetooth since updating to beta 2. Even if I delete my phone from the car and try to add it back it won't find it at all. EarPods work fine btw.

I am having exactly the same issue. I didn’t have a single issue with CarPlay in B1. Definitely seems to be a B2 issue!

Yup---same here. But adding "....on Apple music" at the end of the command works fine and will be acceptable until the next beta version (for me).

Texting and other voice commands work fine...with the obvious "beep" missing after Siri responds.

Except that is not. Weird it "thinks" its using 44% battery but then says 11 min. You have 6+ hrs of use so............... Yeah its jacked up I would say.
