After installing iOS 17.0 beta 7 (from iOS 16.6), I am unable to sync iPhone with macOS Ventura 13.5.1
When I connect the iphone to my Mac, there is a prompt that I need a software update to the Mac to be able to connect to my phone. When it tried to download it, installation fails saying the software is not available from the update server. It does not tell me what the software is so I do not know how to fix this.

I have the same message popping up in Monterey, yet if I dismiss it after it fails to download this software, iPhone/iPad still appears in the Finder and everything works as expected.

For some reason after updating to iOS 17 some logs cannot be deleted after syncing and are staying in the diagnostic and usage data. Do someone have the same issue?

You need to download the mobilepackage from Apple’s Dev site and install that (macOS won’t find that for you, and it’s not the software update it’s prompting you to download). Or, install Xcode from the Dev site.

That’ll sort you out.

That was my experience as well, so I just dismissed it and carried on, no need to download anything. Once Sonoma was installed it doesn’t appear.

I had no issues with it whatsoever, but also extracted mobilepackage from Xcode beta last Wednesday to do an IPSW Beta 7 installation, so should now be fine for a while. 😉

Are the logs syncing from iPhone with iOS 17 beta 7 to macOS Ventura or Monterey (anything except Sonoma)?

Has anyone else the same problem that since iOS17 beta batch editing for pictures in the photo app does not work properly anymore? Whenever I apply changes to several pictures at once it applies in part random values to some pictures and not the ones I set (e.g. I am increasing exposure and brilliance by 15 and tint by 10 but exposure is set to 5, brilliance is not changed, but tint to 4 and in addition warmth to -15). I am now on PB6 and this bug (or is this supposed to be some kind of "feature"?) still exists. Wasn't the case in iOS16.

Better to ask in the current beta thread:

I have 4 movies on my phone which 3.18gb in size and that’s the only sync’ed content I have.
Regarding the synced content issue. I wonder if it has anything to do with files being synced to my phone? I didn't sync files and have no idea how to unsync them either Also, I doubt they would be 19gb in total either!

Do you guys think these files are the cause of the additional 19gb? And how can I unsync these files please?

I've shown pictures below. The first 2 pics are from my phone. The next 2 are from my Mac.

Embarrassingly, I don't know  How would I check?
It would say how many song you have under music in the storage section I think. Also, it says how many song are on the device in the about section. The problem with those counts would be anything downloaded from Apple Music probably is in the count too.

Thank dude.

I checked the total number of songs and it matches exactly to the number I synced. Not 1 more or less 😁

There's a slight discrepancy here between documents and data & All.Songs, but it seems negligible.
