The jury is still out to see whether if it actually fixes the heating
Then the two observations from the net will be watched for after this 17.0.3 patch
Users have recorded Apple’s flagship phone reaching temperatures as high as 47 C while gaming.
Users have experienced the problem while using the iPhone 15’s fast charging feature.

Users have reported their devices have gotten warmer after installing the new update
Users have growing criticism that the thermal compromise is the blame for overheating than a software bug
Users are claiming that Apple has underclocked/throttled the CPU in attempt to minimize heat in their latest update
Users are reporting the issue is not fixed and overheating is still occurring especially using social media apps such as Meta's app.

17.0.3 fixes the touch screen lag on 15’s. Reports on Reddit. Great news!
As you can see below 17.1 beta 2 already did that.
Notification swipe-down stuttering/frame lag is seemingly fixed/resolved in this latest Beta build.
Hopefully the same fix will be implemented in the next stable release (17.0.3) as well.
I just prefer using dev betas over these minor point public releases. ;)

Could be , but the 🤯 he added could mean it is really 17.4 , even if it is far away , Apple being Apple it is also possible ….
I hope he is talking about 17.4 It'd be nice to get a temporary break from all these updates we've had 5 since 9/18

Iphone 15 Pro Max - iOS 17.1 Beta. Tried downgrading to any other ispw with a Mac, PC, 4016 error, just can't do it.

Phone is burning hot - a baby might cry if they hold it.

No way to fix the overheating issue. Huge issue for Apple! Update must come out now!

(Returning this phone on last day to get a new one - ensuring there is no damage).
