Iphone 15 Pro Max - iOS 17.1 Beta. Tried downgrading to any other ispw with a Mac, PC, 4016 error, just can't do it.

Phone is burning hot - a baby might cry if they hold it.

No way to fix the overheating issue. Huge issue for Apple! Update must come out now!

(Returning this phone on last day to get a new one - ensuring there is no damage).

It’s well documented that once on 17.1 beta you can’t downgrade. Just stay on the beta until 17.1 is released to public in a few weeks.

I’m not saying I don’t believe you, but I’m wondering why putting it in DFU mode to restore it wouldn’t be working?

Has this thread become bug fixes and improvements chat for all the people not on betas now then?

2 pages of heating and still downgrading chat... boring AF.

Can we get back to what this threads purpose is about please

TUESDAY.

Yup, Tuesday. Hopefully they fix the restore bug

Columbus Day in the US is a federal holiday. No mail. Most banks closed. Stock market is open. Most businesses are open.

There are some people screaming for Ios 17.0.4 because of some kind of WiFi disconnection issues. Haven't experienced it yet but there was a story on some website about it.

I’m not really sure why they’d stop signing the public version. I don’t really need to downgrade off the beta anyway, I was just curious.
Apple wants all of its users to be running the latest build of their supported IOS/IPadOS so that they’re protected from recent security issues, and the latest IOS/IPadOS update concerns that as well as other fixes usually. That is why Apple has stopped users from downgrading to the older IOS/IPadOS versions by removing signed older versions you can install. Its foremost a security justification is why they do it in that manner.

Now that has been said back to waiting till tomorrows expected 17.1. beta 3. :)

Yeah, but you should be able to downgrade from 17.1 beta to the latest public version. The original person I quoted said they cannot do that.

was seeing if anyone heard any smoke on 17.0.4 or if yall just think we dive straight into 17.1 coming up. My best guess is we get 2 betas and RC left
