Numerous published reports are saying Tuesday the 24th based on information from the French government about a fix being released that day for the “excessive radiation” issue.

So I think Tuesday is the more likely day.

I think the French were saying “by Tuesday, 24 Oct”, so we might still see the public release on Monday, 23 Oct.

Since the update has to be out "no later than the 24th" I feel a Monday release is more than likely.

There are a lot of reasons 17.1 could be released today (Monday). Sadly, however this reason is not one of them.

Saying something will be released “no later than” X date means simply that: the last day it can be released is X. The statement says nothing, logically, about the likelihood of other dates. To say otherwise is like saying that “if a candidate for a job is one of four people, then the successful candidate must be the fourth individual”.

Agree with the Monday (today) crowd as for the release of 17.1. Wonder if the builds will true up across the board?

I do agree, the 24th is not out of the question entirely. Part of me feels like Apple likes to do things on the exact day but another part says they may have left it open just in case. There's also the fact that Apple's regular release time is 7PM in France which is pushing "no later than the 24th" a bit.
