So it will be today for iOS 17.2 beta 2 because Apple may release the official version in December 4th or 5th final release.

No. I don’t think any of what your speculate here will happen. Beta 2 next Tuesday and then weekly beta releases (except Thanksgiving week here in the US). Public release December 11th or 12th.

That correlates in all respects to the tempo of 16.2, which 17.2 is tracking so far.

I think there's still a chance we get a beta release on Nov 21. Don't quote me here, but I think I remember there being a release in the past earlier during thanksgiving week.

It’s possible and I wouldn’t rule it out either. But I think there’s enough padding in the time between now and mid-December that they could skip that week.

So as I see it:

Beta 2: Nov 7-8
Beta 3: Nov 14-15
Beta 4: Nov 28-29
RC: Dec 5-6
Public release: Dec 11-12

Quite happy to wait 2 weeks, this beta has been a dream. How I use my phone I’ve not come up against any bugs. That’s not to say there aren’t any.

• WiFi has been solid.
• Battery the same, considering.
• Performance and smoothness - outstanding.
Thats kinda why I expected weekly rather then 2 weeks for 2nd beta, but who cares as long as it works that good.

On my iPad, I’ve run into a few minor bugs, but nothing serious.

I would say because they released a PB on a Friday the day after the DB. That would signal that its pretty stable and typically once PB is out they go to weekly betas. So theres that.

I suspect that also has to do with the fact that the developer beta may have been late.

I knew it was coming, but 17.1 has been such a stable release I feel like we really didn't need 17.1.1 atleast for 3-4 weeks or so. We have an update every freaking week now.

While bug fixes are probably included, this may contain security updates. Which if that is true, I applaud Apple for not waiting 3 to 4 weeks to release those.
