I’m going to go out on a limb here and say we’ll probably see the RC beta next Tuesday. 👍🏻. Or, in other words, February 27.

Is 17.4 going to be fine to download? I'm not in the EU but seeing a lot of people complaining that this update is going to be messy. I would think not being in the EU all we are getting are some new emjois. Not seeing the harm in this update

It does offer some new features beside the EU DMA changes
Yes they did add six new emjois, but check the article for a lot more things added/changed.

Really haven't experience any real problems using 17.4 for last few weeks, it certainly runs better then the previous incremental releases. :)

I went from iOS 17.3.1 to 17.4b4 a few days ago, and ended up updating my iPad, too. I'm not having any major problems, seems better (to me) than prior. That's all that matters to me.

How much ahead is Apple with internal iOS versions?

Do they already have 17.4 final?
Or 17.5 beta1 ?

The RC that is expected out tomorrow, is usually the final build that is released the following Monday. Occasionally you have a 2nd RC but it's not anticipated as previous IOS software cycles for 14.4, 15.4, and 16.4 didn't have one.

Apple has been always testing multiple builds in-house versions before releasing the beta software cycle for iOS 17.5 coming next.
