I am amazed at how you predict these things, a fortnight after the first beta? Don't think this has ever happened before? I tip my hat to you sir.
I amaze myself with my ability to predict very predictable events.
I am myself amazed by the inability of many others to do so. This isn’t rocket science, people.

- To respect users’ privacy, apps calling CMAltimeter’s startRelativeAltitudeUpdatesToQueue and stopRelativeAltitudeUpdates are now required to include the NSMotionUsageDescription string in their plist in order to receive data.
Apps built with SDKs prior to iOS 17.5 and watchOS 10.5 without the NSMotionUsageDescription string in their plists will not receive data.
Apps built with iOS 17.5 and watchOS 10.5 or later will crash if they do not have the NSMotionUsageDescriptionstring in their plist as described in CMAltimeter. (125573971)

Zollo tonight just said 17.4.2 is looking unlikely at this point. I think I'll ride with Zollo. only a couple of more weeks and we should see 17.5, not that long of a wait
Not if the beta cycle is like 16.5 or 15.5. Why have a 2 week interval from beta 1 to beta 2 if it is coming out the end of this month? The number of features being worked on as seen in this article is not minor.

Or it simply comes out at WWDC for the new hardware using iPadOS 17.5 and MacOS 14.5. That would be 69 days from April 2nd to June 10th. iOS 16.5 beta cycle was 67 days long, iOS 15.5 was 65 days long.

FYI that emoji issue with keyboard wrong flag mentioned earlier was fixed by the iOS beta 2.
That IS the fix…a flag shouldn’t come up when typing in Jerusalem ever. It’s not a country.
Ok, thank you, although I thought if you typed in a capital city of a country, it would make sense to show the flag?
Just did a quick test of some obvious large cities/capitols...they all come up blank...no flags.
Maybe an iOS 17.4.2, if that’s even going to happen, but since we just got the iOS 17.5 Beta 2, I don’t think that we’re going to see anything else this week. The only thing I could think of would be an iOS 17.4.2 (again, if that’s even in the works), but other than that, I think the rest of the week will probably be quiet. we are getting 17.5 in 2 weeks there is no need for it at this point. Beta 3 next week then RC
Agree, think it’s too late for 17.4.2.
iOS 16.5 was 4 betas and 2 RC's. iOS 15.5 was 4 betas and a RC. iOS 14.5 was 8 betas and one RC. Prefer to have things fixed and working well for whats added then a rushed beta cycle before WWDC that is only 50 days away. The possible iPads shipping in May is slim chance when they could show off ipadOS improvements at WWDC June 10th.
