IMore is the only site reporting we are getting a new update. Zollo and MacRumors yet to report 17.4.2
Zollow doesn’t have a clue like the rest of us
yes but usually there will be a mac rumors report if we get a update. I'm guessing we should see the report next week
Just the emoji mistake of typing in Jerusalem and getting a Palestine flag emoji. Something as minor of that shouldn't be the basis of multiple OS patches issued. Patches are really for fixing things that are security based or bugs. Hence a RSR.
Exactly. They released 17.4.1 without fixing the new iCloud tabs sync bug introduced in 17.4. It would be absurd to release a 17.4.2 to change an emoji.
It would be even more absurd if they release 17.4.2 to change the emoji behavior and still not fix an actual bug -- yet, I wouldn't put it past Apple at all to do exactly that.
I don’t want to get political here, but maybe that’s not a bug but rather a conscious change?
I don’t have iOS 17, but on my iOS 16 devices I’ve put Jerusalem and it doesn’t suggest any flag.I call BS…
Why would it? Jerusalem is a city.
When you type in Toronto, New York or London does suggest anything?
I don’t think so, but on iOS 16 it doesn’t even suggest flags with Israel or Palestina either.
I was just saying Jerusalem because that’s what @Realityck said the bug was about.
Obviously misspoke…a city has never brought up a country flag. Again…I call BS…

I don’t really know what you mean when you repeatedly say “I call BS (********, I guess)”, but I was obviously trying to elucidate what the bug was, not enter into any political controversy.

Just created on current beta…for me, typing in Jerusalem in emoji search brings up nothing.

I’m think Wednesday for some reason…Spring Break for a lot of California schools this past week. Recovery from that is real if you have young kids.
The original source owes Apple an apology after her X post. Unicode Consortium mistakes in relation to various keyboards are not Apples.
IMO they will announce this week that we are getting 17.4.2 and either release it by the end of this week or next week
It only happens on the English UK keyboard. 17.4.2 is what I expect.

We will have to wait until Tuesday or Thursday, which are the days that the betas are released, mainly on Tuesday, although in a time, when they had not released for a long time (as is the case) they may until today publish beta 2 of IOS 17.5, "we'll see, as a blind man said"😜😜😝😝😎
