They are on the the iPhone as well. If you check out the iOS 17 Preview page on Apple’s website, it lists that as one of the new features. There are also a few other smallish things that didn’t get mentioned, or were skimmed over. It really seems like everybody was given a really small window of time in the keynote and had to rush through, just highlighting some of the bigger stuff.

Agree on the speed with which they went through stuff. This will be a season where we “discover” many changes and enhancements that were not covered in the keynote. And the wrap up “word cloud” for each platform (where they normally list most of the key features) was somewhat deficient this year.

Lots of spelunking ahead!

PB is coming definitely in July, as Craig said yesterday.
PB1 usually lands in line with Dev Beta 3 or 4. I think 4. And usually beta 1 goes 3 weeks..

Also, I hope everyone thoroughly enjoys a mostly bug free beta 1. As is almost always the case, the first beta gets introduced with very little show stopping bugs and then we sit on it for three weeks. THEN Apple starts adding in some features as promised, tweaking some things, and before you know it you’re looking for a prior beta’s .ipsw file… save ‘em!

Boy, this first beta is so smooth, I’m erring right now on PB1 to be released in June…June 29th would make sense to me.

Assuming Dev beta 2 (June 21) doesn’t break the whole damn thing.

Curious, what is the Appleseed profile, and how do you get it?

Here's some more info about it. I get this email every year since I signed up for the Dev Program. It was called ADC when I officially got an email invite in like 2006'ish?

I’m not really sure, that PB1(likely at the same time devbeta 3) would be on June 29th. I am expecting it to be around 3-5th July, like last year with iOS 16.
At the same time I agree that this first beta is so smooth. It is running with almost no issues on my iPad.

when I turn my iPhone landscape in settings it doesn't turn. What about you all does it turn to landscape or not?
It doesn't matter the orientation of it being on its side. Just needs to be connected to a charger or it won't work. It also requires it to be locked, not have the desktop accessed. Afterward it should show the red clock and calendar to the right

I didn't find that true. While some reported that, it never showed up in that manner on my couple of iPhones (14 Pro), at the time I only had off and PB enabled. I've since registered.
Well according to the article they confirmed that it happened to 1 of their staff members so it must be true for all!!
