Are you on a beta build? Going from Beta to Beta usually only does delta updates, going from „public release“ to Beta is what mostly causes full installs.

yeah I know that usually happens if you were going from a .X beta to a .X beta... but I thought it would be bigger going from 16.6 to 17.0

Strange I’m getting the dev beta option as everyone else after losing it the last few betas.

Not installing though as I’ll wait for the new ui to update my phone again.

Yeah kinda weird they didn't mention it much. They might be trying to polish it before they do? I drive daily so it's an essential for me. Can't wait to see how they integrate it with my 2022 Ford Raptor

Were you on the 16.6 betas? I think it was less coming from there.

It’s small since it’s only a few app updates. Wonder if you’ll be able to delete the journal app.

I’m also getting the option to update even tho I’m not a paid developer. I’ll hold off though for a bit… hopefully I’ll still have the option to update after some feedback from early adopters

Nothing shows up on my iPad but iOS 17 shows up on iPhone, i guess it’s still rolling out

You need to pop in and out of the s/w update settings and eventually it'll show. I've no beta profile (obviously) and don't have a dev account, but there it is!

Nice surprise. And in I go! Backups done to iCloud and archived to my laptop. I'll ask Pearsey how to restore if I don't like it.

I really don’t get how this new system works. It works perfectly on my iPhone even though it is signed into the wrong Apple account. On my iPad it is signed into the correct Apple account and it shows up and let me check the iOS 17 beta check mark ✔️ but won’t download any ios17 code. Very strange!
