iOS 18.1 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

The 'battery' threads never made sense to me. Why waste time optimizing during alpha/beta stages when the coding isn't finished yet? Unless there's an obvious leak somewhere, that's horrendous..

Mainly to get all the negative battery comments out of this thread. For exactly the reason you state.

Did something change in the camera settings? My photos like fine on the photos app, but if I upload them anywhere they look dark as heck.

I end up having to airdrop to my computer then upload them. I hate this!

Didn't occur before iOS 18.

It would be pretty nice if the moderators here at MR forums would move comments to appropriate threads. Many folks don't look before posting, or care where they post, then the flaming starts to happen

I see the staff list at the bottom here on the webpage, but no moderator listed for the forums

Oh well, it is what is - and I can't wait for beta 2!

As was mentioned, it's certainly true.. I've never seen as intensive indexing EVER in all of mankind's history, as on this particular beta. Things have been pretty solid for me, although quirkiness happens throughout.. but nothing that really breaks anything

I think my photo indexing took three days? Kinda crazy..

The moderators are pretty good at reclassifying posts if you report the post as being in the wrong thread. Reporting doesn’t only have to be for offensive material.

I still don’t see the 18.1 as option even as I am running 18.1 Beta

Couple of items. Some have been mentioned in this thread,

1. I have noticed since I did an ipsw reload on my 15 ProMax the SOT has dropped significantly.
2. Did a short trip last evening and my 15PM would keep switching between 5G and 4LTE. This is something it had not done in previous releases.
 
Something new… many meetings I do may be hosted in another language, the translation ability has been pretty good in the past.
With this beta, it it pretty bad. Even Spanish to English (US) will only translate about 1/4 of the words.

15 ProMax.
