Thanks, will see if it works tomorrow, if not I’ll file a report. It’s weird cause on b1 it showed text that it was indexing but some stuff was still searchable.

Not even showing the “photos is indexing” text, thought it was nice to see that but general consumer probably would be confused.

guys quick question, I am in 18.0 beta 6 and is very usable, is it the same with 18.1 beta 2? thank you all!

Just like with 18.1b1, it might take a while for b2 to figure out all your stuff. Took my 15 Pro Max a while with b1. I'm hoping it'll go faster with b2 (hopefully it doesn't have to do a full re-index), but in any event, until that happens, searching is hamstrung. This screenshot is from just now, about 5 hours after I installed b2.

Beta 1 showed me the whole 2 weeks that the indexing is in progress, but I could search for everything.
Now you can search for whatever you want and immediately it’s showing no results… seems like a bug

Same here. I’ve tried soft and hard restarts with no lock. As well as toggling modes.

If I set icons to light and not dynamic it’s fine though.
 
And I've seen that the modem version seems a little newer in beta 6 of ios 18 compared to beta 2 of ios 18.1.
The search in the photos app is now better for me, it no longer shows me words in English, only in Spanish, and it works perfectly. I've never seen the message that the photos are being indexed, neither when I installed ios 18 nor in beta 1 of ios 18.1.
I guess I have a small camera roll and I wouldn't need it.
The recent emojis now work, although it seems that they have always saved them, it just didn't show them, because when installing this beta 2 the emojis that I have used the most in these weeks appeared.
Regarding the change in the recent calls interface, I also hope that they put back the new one, it was more comfortable for me and it avoided accidental calls, which I have made more than I would like.
 
Interestingly, it’s not fully in line with 18.0 Beta 6, as the ‘Albums’ collection is the Beta 5 version, not Beta 6.
