Turn on stickers in keyboard settings, then you can turn it back off.. this will fix it.

On iOS 18 B6 I literally lose the entire bottom row of controls when I restart so could be worse.. I was getting the screen mirroring thing in B5 though.
For Switzerland (not part of the EU), it's enough to change region/language to the US. Then you'll have it.
Relatedly, I’ve noticed that occasionally Message Tapbacks are the colored versions (as displayed in the selection menu) rather than the monochrome versions we’ve had to this point

You’re not supposed to press it. You need to tap it twice fairly quickly.
How often are you tapping in the bottom of the screen for reasons other than invoking Siri? I don’t believe I’ve ever done this.
I second this. I’ve never had a problem with it too, just tapping twice quickly, every single time it’s worked.
I get an email saying there is a follow up in one of the threads. Clicking on the link takes me to the thread, however with previous versions of iOS there was a tab in top left corner to go back to mail. With beta 2 this is gone… (tab back to mail). Although not the end of the world, used this feature substantially. Hopefully back in beta 3 or I’ll have to live without this feature. 😂

While this didn’t make the size change from 2.63GB to 5.18GB as reported by others, resetting the network settings did make Siri work again for me, albeit using the old(?) models.
Mine stays at 2.63 GB and the phone was the whole night connected with a charger

Mine went back from 5.18 (or whatever it was) back to 2.63. My guess is that it discarded the old 18.1 b1 model in favor of the newly downloaded one with beta 2.
But finally the search in the photos app is working. It took a while. My gallery has 200 GB
Apple never said that Genmoji was coming at launch. Based on what we are seeing so far, that is not something that is coming at the launch of Apple Intelligence. That could change if it gets added in some upcoming betas, but these betas are pretty far along for something like that to be added. I could be wrong (been that before), but it sure seems like Apple went with the basics of AI to roll first and try and get that as smooth out as possible first.
I turned Apple Intelligence off and on again, and now Siri isn't working.
I tried to make a new photo with memory and I swear my photos have been “processing” for over 12 hours now
One thing I am noticing is the AI summaries of Messages and Email notifications are a lot more accurate and include more detail.
I don’t have any screenshots saved, unfortunately (wasn’t thinking about it in the moment), but I noticed in Beta 1 the USPS arriving today emails would only state the number of items incoming. On Beta 2, the notification summary includes the names of some of the senders.
I also noticed a receipt email had much more detail in the short summary, including the total price of the order, where on b1 it didn’t include that information.
