Slow WiFi Speeds!
Hey, everyone! Do you all have slower-than-normal WiFi speeds? I’m on the ios18.1.2 betas on both my iPad (4th Gen) and iP15PM, and the speeds are just not like they were with ios17.
I’ve tried resetting network settings and everything. Not sure what the issue is. My speeds on non-beta devices are just fine, super fast.
Thoughts?

Not great, but not terrible. My download did take something like three hours, though that was on both wifi and cellular.
Edit: went out for a smoke and did much better on my patio.

Any ideas what might be hindering my speeds then? They should be near yours, but I’m getting 100Mbps. 🤷🏼
Don’t play Pokémon GO with it enabled and battling 🤣 I do like the Siri feature, maybe Pokémon GO will update and it’ll be less of an issue
What equipment do you have? I’m running wifi6 mesh. Most I hit in iPhone 15 pro max is around 600 up and down on symmetrical gigabit fiber. On Ethernet I’m like 980 up and down.
pissed off the recent call log menu got rid of the requiring you to hit the arrow to view the profile to intentionally call the contact. ive misdialed so many times accidentally tapping a recent call in the list. that was a great improvement they took out for beta 2.

It’s obvious that the “old” LLM model that came with beta 1 wasn’t removed right away when beta 2 was installed, but only after the second LLM model was downloaded, post-install.
They probably did this so there would be no loss of service of the Apple Intelligence tools prior to the second LLM being installed.
What do you mean by “light sensitivity”? Do you mean sensitivity to photons? Or do you mean it’s registering with a light (i.e., unheavy) touch?
True Tone seems to be bugged. Not sure if this has been mentioned before and I'm not going to check.
I noticed my screen looked awfully blue/bright and I had to disable then re enable True Tone. This was also present on the previous public beta. Persists on the current beta.
Also happening on macOS beta with M3 Air for me too.

What would be the reason that a new iPad's entire contents are being backed up to iCloud when other backups are "normal" size?
Edit: I deleted the backup, turned iCloud back up off, force restarted, and backed up again and everything is normal. 5.3 GB.

Anyway to disable that? There is a setting to enable and disable type to Siri but doesn’t seem to work for this double tap at the bottom
I use Comp Portal in my job, but since upgrading, I haven't been able to connect to their Wifi.
