iOS 18.1 Beta 6 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

True. It looked a bit off.
Was it like this from the beginning? Got my 15 pro, last year for release but I can’t remember anymore. Haven’t had a iPhone 14.
With beta 6 it looks pretty good now in the centre of the Dynamic Island.
@Pearsey (I think) used the term Dashboard and I’m not sure if it has a real name or not, but its the bar at the bottom of the message. Tap the left facing arrow at the bottom right and more tools appear, including the Apple Intelligence “tool”
It gives me a (terrible) suggestion from my music library, yet it won’t play it for me (I guess AI knows the song is bad) 🐒
Can confirm, stuttering fixed for me. Definitely smoother now. Beta 5 was a mess for me.
Weird glitch for me after updating. Cellular data for every app was flipped off..
That message has nothing to do with silent mode. It shows when a specific focus like DND is turned on that involves silent delivery of notifications.
Check if any Personal/DND focus mode is enabled.
The behavior has not changed unfortunately: while in the app that's using camera/mic, the indicator is in the island; when the app is in the background, the indicator is still all the way in the top right corner.
Couple bugs I’ve noticed on my 13P.
1. Noticing some lag with Settings app like long pressing for Battery takes a couple seconds before it opens.
2. Keyboard lag while swiping and occasional complete misses where I had to swipe multiple times before the input is registered.
Battery looks improved especially idle drain.

For number 2: that’s been hastening to me for years on my 13P. It seems to depend on what app you’re trying to swipe in. Google app is notorious
I don’t have any of them on and I’ve toggled everything off and on. I did however turn reduce interruptions (apple intelligence) on for like 30 mins today for the first time ever. That’s it.
Changing photographic styles with the camera control swipe will reset all styles to default values
Updates were all OTA and did fine.
15 ProMax - some apps lag on launch. WiFI speed still an issue. Notifications to AWU are mostly missing.
iPad Pro 11 - right aligned icons on Home Screen became left aligned. Some apps lag on launch. Messages forwarded from iPhone - status not updating between devices.
Screen stutter is pretty much gone at this time.
So far no springboard relaunches.

This beta is as smooth as silk on my 16P. No issues to report. Keyboard even feels a touch more responsive
AI has no soul, of course it did. 😆😂.
The last beta was good but this beta has addressed any stutters, lag & less than perfect animations on my 15PM. Lightning fast speeds and super smooth & fluid operation across the device. Very happy 👌🏻😊

Can’t replicate on the 16Pro.
Try a hard restart now the phones settled in a bit. Otherwise I always reinstall the beta with the IPSW file and normally things like this just go away.
Am I the only one that has super great battery life on my 16PM on beta 5? so far none of any bugs that bothers me on my day life routine, so I am a bit skeptical about jumping on beta 6. Never exceeded 75% on a day with about 8h 10m active and 35m idle.
