iOS 18.1 Beta 7 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Seems like pressing the volume up / down doesn’t work anymore for taking a photo in the camera app? Can’t see the option in the settings either.

I guess this could be a way for them to make more people use the Camera Control button.

I’m on PB4 and was hoping that the issue with the camera control button needing two presses to open the camera would have been fixed from 18.0.1 but alas, it hasn’t..even though I have it set to single click in settings, it still prompts me to ‘click again to open camera’

So far, in terms of performance, we haven’t noticed any significant differences. However, benchmarks reveal a different story. The multi-core performance on the benchmark is significantly lower from 7390 on beta 6 to beta 7, with scores of 7167, 6972, and 7198. I’ll see how it performs tomorrow, but the device still feels warmer than I’d like.
 
Also getting Certificate issues here. Thought it might have to do with Private Relay as when disabled it seems to work fine. But I’m not sure if that’s coincidence or not.

Yes good question. I notice that to force quit Safari and open it again fixes it, but then comes back after some time.

I just tried it and it works on my 16PM. Both buttons.

Anyone else having audio issues? Couldn't get audio thru my AirPods Pro 2's yesterday for calls. This morning I couldn't adjust volume in CarPlay (either from the car controls or from the phone itself). The audio plays (tested with a podcast and music) but could not adjust the volume. (My CarPlay is wireless and didn't have the opportunity to pull out a cable and try that way.)

Next steps are to try resetting network settings. If that doesn't get it I can "forget" the devices.

UPDATE: resetting network fixed the issue

The “clean up” tool is working on my 15pm, even though my Apple Intelligence is deactivated, because I am using Portuguese Brazilian as my main language, and my iPhone region is set up as Brazil.

I thought this was an apple intelligence
exclusive feature…

Also, “clean up” is correctly translated.

(Weirdly, when taking a screen shot the image gets super bright… i doesn’t look like that at all. Maybe a HDR bug?)

worth mentioning that this is the only AI feature i’m seeing throughout the system. No new siri animation, email/notifications summaries or smart text suggestions.

Oddly enough, I had this same issue (invalid certificate) last night. A few minutes later, it was fine. It was just two sites.

starting to feel like this won't get fixed in 18.1. it only happened when I restored new iphone 16 pro from iphone 15 back up. also not many people are seeing this bug so not sure how much of a priority it would be for apple.
