I’m hitting 40% before noon. I used to be at 50-60% at 4pm.
I’m having issues downloading a beta from TestFlight. I assume it’s related. Systems status is not showing any issues though.
Addenda: I am able to update apps on the App Store.
40% before noon? Wow that’s crazy…does your phone get warm?
Yesterday was medium use and ended the day on 68%…that includes 20 minutes in the car and connected to a wired CarPlay.
Today I connected 25 minutes to CarPlay and at 2 pm I’m on 85%…I use for work email, music, GPS, safari and more.
I’ve only had a few minor bugs.all is still smooth.
Post a screenshot of your battery offenders. I don’t think we’ll be surprised.
Asked this in the battery thread, but I’ll ask it here too since it’s the topic of conversation. Could it be a hardware issue? Im experiencing similar drain myself.
Going on all reports from different directions, the issue have hit older iPhones like 14 and 15 pros, which never had a problem before. Makes me conclude it’s related to SW?

Yes! I hope this issue gets resolved. I’ve restarted both my watch and phone, so we’ll see if that helps. I’ve refrained from using the betas on my 16 Pro, but because of such poor battery life I decided to give the beta a try. Unfortunately, I discovered a bug right away 😔. It’s not the worst bug I’ve encountered, but it’s still disappointing.
Battery life seems good, but the resprings on Safari and X are crazy. Pages keep reloading, which is a pain when filling out forms etc.
11Pro - finally zero resprings, battery indeed little better than B6, noise distortion is definitely fixed with B6 and kept fixed to this B7.
Keyboard lags are also no more as they were somehow fixed after half a day on B6.
I have only noticed AdGuard is having problems with removal of ads - free space is left in Safari but it might be defect after I had to restore from iCloud backup.

Btw it should be possible to backup with "known" Macbook on which already was made a backup before in case of locked screen with incorrect password blockage?
I was not able to perform backup as it was asking for unlocking first somehow... really not sure if a bug or a feature

I put satellite connectivity in my control centre, randomy it disappears and have to put it back in.

Acknowledged in feedback as a known issue to be fixed. I no longer have the problem in B7.
It's funny but with iOS I've kinda gotten used to living with the odd bug. The standards are a little lower the last few years I've felt. Nothing really big, just little edge bugs. Hey ho - such is life.
Agree, and it's not phone breaking for sure. I mostly experience this problem when I'm near my MacBook, which is kind of odd. It's not a major issue; I just thought others might be having similar experiences.
Like you, I expect a few minor bugs, but iOS 18 has been different for me. I've had terrible battery life since its release, and this has continued from version 18.0 to 18.1. I even set up my phone as new, but the results were the same.

It might be one of those OS releases that just doesn’t have super battery life at the beginning. Hopefully it will improve for you as the releases continue.
I find Photos uses a lot of battery. I ended up changing my 16 Pro for a 16 Pro Max which has much stronger battery life so suits me better. It’s a bit like an iPad though.
Yeah, I just worry Apple Intelligence as it gains features will require more battery, but here's to hoping later releases bring better battery life.
16P here. Beta 7 started off pretty darn stable for me, but has absolutely nose dived today. I have had probably 8 resprings today, primarily in messages, and 3 total phone shutdowns. Oh, and cellular stopped working for awhile! Hoping 8 will be closer to B6...

Wow, seems very unstable for you right now. Hopefully it settles down for you, but thankfully just a few more days seemly until the next release.

Yeah, my experience today would make me want to downgrade back to 18.0.1. Yesterday though, it was totally fine on B7! Would love to know what sparked the change.
Something that was fascinating though is that a timer I had going on my phone survived one of the crash reboots!
