Not only people on Betas are replied by Apple - had it twice on public version after my report to get more details or check something else.

Everybody can use Feedback app by opening Safari and typing:
applefeedback://

Or opening this page via shortcut:

Or visiting this website:

For security related reports I highly suggest this site:
Super useful post, many thanks 🙏

Worst beta for me so far. Laggy, says iPhone isn’t connected to the internet etc. previously I’d almost forgotten I was on betas.

Can I just confirm with you guys, iCloud tabs still dont work on this build across devices?

My feedback still says no recent similar reports!

Not having that problem at all -- with iPhone 15, M1 MacBook Air, and iPad mini 6.

Ok thanks for confirming. It just doesn’t update across my iPhone or iPad. I’ve disabled and re-enabled it but no joy. I see others on Apple’s forums have the issue but maybe it’s only a tiny fraction of users.

Are any camera image quality fixes with this software? Many of us have ProRaw camera issues. Pixelated images because ProRaw needs adjustments.

It’s more than a fraction. There are several threads here, one started by me. Since iOS 18, open tabs on one device do not appear on any other iOS devices on the same iCloud account. As all the others have mentioned, you can force quit Safari, or restart the device, and they will then appear. Also, if you get them to appear after force quitting or restarting, the “close” function only works to eliminate the tab from that specific device; they will remain open on the original device. All of that worked properly for me in iOS 17 and previously; it was the first bug I noticed with 18, and as you, I believe, mentioned, Feedback Assistant has never indicated any other reports. I’m assuming most aren’t bothering or just don’t use the feature that much.

Someone mentioned creating a new profile in Safari, making it the default, and the tabs would then appear. If it works on a new profile, and after a restart or force quitting, then it’s a bug they should be able to fix.

You do realize that there are a billion iPhone users, right? There might be a thousand threads started in this forum and in a thousand other forums and it would still be a tiny fraction.

True, and you can say that about almost every issue posted here. I’ve never had a battery issue on any phone (fingers crossed) and don’t personally know anyone who had complained about battery life. But going by threads here I’m assuming others have.

Face ID has been absolutely awful on b7. It was working pretty flawlessly before but I'm entering my passcode at least half the time now.
I’m not having any issues with that but, in the past when I did, I either added a 2nd face scan or deleted the whole thing and started over. That seemed to fix any FaceID issues I had.

I swap back and forth between my iPhone and iPad depending on on what else I am doing.
Takes an OK > kill app > relaunch app to get back to watching.

It’s a bit tricky though cuz how many of them actually own multiple devices with iCloud tabs? How many actually are even familiar these forums let alone post about the issue?
I personally have been having that issue but haven’t made a post or comment on it.

In theory that number could be a lot higher.

And all that may be true. My point is that you cannot generalize the extent of an issue simply from the number of posts you see about it. The users here are a small fraction of the install base.

My perspective is that the majority of users don’t use these forums, so we never see their complaints, if they bother to complain. However, the fact that you can find an issue being reported on multiple forums, in multiple threads, and in multiple tech articles suggests that it’s a widespread issue. A slew of complaints about iCloud tabs started right after iOS 18 was released.

In my case, I’m referring to the battery topic. Personally, I’ve never encountered a battery issue on any phone, since an aberrant app a decade ago, and I’ve had almost all of them. However, I see multiple posts on multiple forums for both beta and general release software about battery life, so I have to assume that such an issue is widespread for certain users who use these devices in a similar manner or with similar apps.

As mentioned earlier, many people wouldn’t use Safari on multiple devices, so they wouldn’t be aware of a tabs issue, or wouldn’t be using tabs in the first place. I have a MacBook Air, but I use my phone and iPad 99% of the time, so I wouldn’t be aware of macOS issues that are being reported.

Sure do! 4 from yesterday, and 2 from this morning.

I did just notice that the "Enhanced Beta Feedback" was disabled on my phone. Turned that on since this has been so problematic.

Had to restart the backup process on the phone before I attempt to reinstall via IPSW.
For those who were following my issues… “update” using IPSW failed miserably, as did “restore”. After many, many attempts, I ended up downgrading it to 18.0.1 and restored from my backup.

This was completely borked - iCloud wasn’t syncing anything back down to the phone after being left overnight on charger (not even talking backup, which is affected by iOS version, but messages, photos, etc). Additionally, was getting crashes and resprings still. At this point, I started to suspect something was wrong with the phone itself, rather than the software (it had never been quite right since day 1).

Reset the phone, and then used the IPSW to upgrade back to the beta, hoping that it would resolve some of those issues. This actually worked! Phone was running pretty well, and not crashing like crazy like I had seen before on B7 (fresh install). A couple of resprings here and there, but nothing wild, and iCloud was working again, so I thought I was fine to limp along until B8.

Left the phone on the charger and walked away for 15 min, came back to boot loop…. Couldn’t get it stopped. That install lasted about 4 hours :/ At that point, I tried every combo of upgrade and restore for 18.1 and 18.0.1 to no avail. Threw in the towel and scheduled a Genius Bar appt at this point.

Fast-forward to the appointment yesterday afternoon - they try to reinstall iOS after talking about how their utility (configurator…) can reinstall it every time… no dice! That fails. They can’t even run diagnostics on the phone to declare it dead or not because of the state it is in. Phone is getting sent off to their offsite repair facility today and I should hear something this week.

Silver lining - I hadn’t sold my 14 Pro yet, so I at least have a functioning phone!

TL;DR - 16 Pro is bricked, think there may be some actual hardware issue with phone. Apple has it now at an offsite repair facility.

40% before noon? Wow that’s crazy…does your phone get warm?

Yesterday was medium use and ended the day on 68%…that includes 20 minutes in the car and connected to a wired CarPlay.

Today I connected 25 minutes to CarPlay and at 2 pm I’m on 85%…I use for work email, music, GPS, safari and more.

I’ve only had a few minor bugs.all is still smooth.
At times, yes. But generally this beta has been running cooler as well.

Right now at 11:25am after taking the phone off the charger at 6:30am, I'm at 63%.
