Sorry to tell you but they will be adding stuff all the way to 18.4, when the Siri with personal context awareness will be released.
Okay, thanks for the info pal. I don’t know where I read that 18.3 was like a halt in the stuffing in features to polish the system and keep stuffing more features in in 18.4, but maybe I misread it.

Anyways I’m installing 18.1 on my main devices. The Release candidate of 18.0 ran well enough on my devices so I hope the battery life is not horrible in 18.1, in which case I guess I’ll deal with it.

This are the timings, supposedly.

Apple Intelligence Features Expected to Roll Out in This Order Between iOS 18.1 and iOS 18.4

But anything can change. 18.3 might well be the refinement update with new features on 18.4.

Make the jump, seems fine.

It seems clear that iOS 18.4 is gonna be a huge release, with the implementation of the smarter Siri and bringing Apple Intelligence to even more countries.

I still have my hopes on 18.3 bringing a big refinement to the overall system.

I don’t know what it is about the dinosaurs personally. But here you go: a koala bear feeding crumbs to some pigeons. Notice the nice hybrid koala-pigeon to the left!

Well, considering how disgusting koalas really are, you'd go with dinosaurs as well. 😆

I do wonder what’s the purpose of putting us on the waitlist. Why does it need to be a slow roll out, if it’s not server based?

Can´t really understand. Even less when the wait times are a week or more...

I comprehend the integration of ChatGPT and Siri’s intelligence, as some aspects should be put on a waitlist. However, the implementation of not having a waitlist for the mission-critical buggy mail application, with its unpopularity, is an illogical and inappropriate decision.

I saw someone on X mention this could be so they can make sure no one is abusing the algorithm.

And the thing is that ChatGPT integration is available out of the box without the need to wait. But a service that runs local with a simple download of software, you have to wait more than a week

They just have to take measures so they can block someone who does that. Simple. And not put everyone on hold.

They needed to deploy the assets, which does require server capacity. It’s pretty clear now that they did this to make sure they weren’t jamming up the servers for the 18.1 push (which was absolutely critical to Apple to get right) and because they needed to make sure no one was creating bad images that would come back to haunt Apple.. and not in a Halloween way.

Hoping they expedite this and get everyone else in today.
I really wish I could have gotten access before I rolled back to 18.1. I wanted to play around on it for just a bit. Oh well, maybe I can hop back on when the RC is released. Get on the waitlist before it goes live to the public with a massive waitlist.

True. There were quite a bit of people let in yesterday. Maybe they'll start letting more people in soon.

Agreed. It was critical for the public release of 18.1 to go as smoothly as possible. I was perfectly willing to forgo my access to 18.2 functionality as long as my girlfriend got access to her 18.1 features.

Have to say 18.2 has become great on my 15 PM, for the first few days it felt as though my battery life had taken a knock but in the last 2 days it seems my battery is right back to where it was on 18.1 RC which was pretty good.
