Again, the question is: where are you located? If in the UK (not the EU), you’ll see it in this beta and the public will get it next month. If you are in Ireland (EU), you won’t see it til April 2025.
I was thinking it was being released more on a language basis rather than on a region basis, which I believe is how they released Siri.

I thought I read the next batch would include English(UK), English(Australia), English(Ireland) and whatever other English languages they have.
Then they would work through other languages like Spanish, French etc. that are in the EU.

But it seems you’re correct and they’ve excluded Ireland in this one so I’ll have to continue using a different region in my settings if I want to use the new features.

It seems odd that we are testing a beta version of 18.2 and have to be on a waiting list for its features, like Genmoji and playground.

It's not uncommon for there to be staged roll-outs of new features, especially in a pre-GA release.

It's because AI is optional - getting on the wait list is how one opts in.

There is a part of “Ireland” (please don’t @ me) that would qualify for this round: Northern Ireland.

Playground not syncing between devices. On my iPad I have few images in playground which don’t sync to my iPhone. Both devices have iCloud enabled for playground.

Anyone else having this issue?

Update. Finally updated. Not sure if it was because my battery was <. 50% on charger or iCloud was slow. All sync’d now.

If you put the charge limit under 100% it could preserve your battery. But it only makes sense if you don’t need that much battery over the day.
If you know you need every ounce of battery then I would suggest go with 100% charge limit and with optimized battery and charge it over night. That’s what I am doing.

And for your information if you set it to charge limit 80% for example it stops charging when it reaches 80% battery life - if it stays charging it just stops charging, so you don’t have to worry about charging the whole time.
Nevertheless sometimes it will charge to 100% because of calibration of the battery.

Hope this answers your questions?
Yes, thanks a lot!!

Is that an attempt at a joke?
Where are you based?

It was in no way intended to be a joke. But Northern Ireland is on the island called “Ireland” is it not? But it’s not part of the EU since it is part of the United Kingdom. My point is that that is the explanation for the presence of the “English-Ireland” language choice as available in 18.2.

Anyone else having an issue with Microsoft GroupMe app. When I click on it I get a splash screen for about 45 seconds then back to the desktop. I have uninstalled rebooted and installed again and same response. I wanted to see if anyone else has the issue before I report.
Have iOS 18.2 beta on an iPhone 13 pro max…

Yes, when I click the app, it opens the launch screen and does nothing for a bit and crashes.. have tried uninstalling, clear cache, reset phone, reset settings, and nothing has fixed it.

Anyone have a fix

Spontaneous Siri is back. :(
Sitting down for lunch - was grillin’ …. I turned the Chiefs / Broncos game on and sporadically, asleep or awake didn’t matter, Siri and the goofy rainbow edge would pop up on my device. The game is on my wall mounted tv.
I was just about to post how Siri is randomly activating and I have it turned off for Hey Siri. I turned on Type to Siri recently to use the AI more. Unsure if that’s why it’s doing it.

I don’t know if this matters but here’s my feedback ID for the issue if others can upvote it. Reported it via Feedback app. FB15756717

Wish we could keep the old Siri orb with the new features. I find the colours all over the phone to be overwhelming at times.

Does anyone use the Dynamic wallpaper for their Lock and Home Screen with blur?

Does the Home Screen image update when the wallpaper changes throughout the day or is this bug still there?

Really struggling to like the new email app.

Categories view: With no badges on the categories you have to click on each to see if they contain any new email. Seems counter intuitive to ignore categories you are not interested in as you still feel the need to check them 'just in case' they contain something important.

List view: (although this goes for both really) The large icons to the left of every email are really distracting me in a long list of emails. It's not so bad if they contain a company badge like Uber Eats for example, but when they are the generic star, building etc, I feel they divert me away from the content and just clutter up the view. Might be a 'me' thing though I dunno.

Overall not really feeling the advantages of these email changes. Are there benefits I am just overlooking?

Re: categories view, they don’t get a numbered badge but they do get a dot on the category if there’s something new, no?

I switched to List view almost immediately. I keep my inbox pretty empty, and don't need something trying to categorise emails for me. I've been doing it myself for years (I move them into other mailboxes), and am happy to keep doing so.

As for the new List view with the icons.. I like it. Probably because I rarely have more than a handful of emails in any of my inboxes, but I like the new look.
