Same thing for me. I had to install mobiledevice.pkg from the latest Xcode beta and restore. It wouldn't let me update after the initial failure.
The iPhone "iPhone" could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (1109). 1300.0000

I had to use my car hotspot, for some reason my wifi in the house kept giving me the same result. Updated fine.

Stuck on like 2% for me via IPSW. No error in Finder yet. Installed mobiledevice.pkg (during assumedly failed install in progress) from /Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Resources/Packages/, will report back with what happens after the failure message here.

Have you tried different ports? genuine apple cables?

Been stuck at 2% for a while... should I just unplug?

Did you install the latest MobileDevice from the Xcode beta released today? Force restart the device while connected to enter Recover Mode and try to update again.

Updated from 18.1 on both phone and ipad. About 7.3 gigs on both but installed OTA pretty quickly with no issues, as yet. I had been waiting and decided now is probably a good time, fingers crossed.

It’s now working properly for me too. Just wish the Honda Link app would quiet telling me I have a jailbroken device.
