iOS 18.2 RC ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

The deed is done. 18.1.1 -> 18.2 RC on 16 Pro Max.

Install took a good bit of time. Image Playground access was instant but download took 5-10 minutes. Not noticing any glaring issues so far.
 
RC added Remote back to my Control Center. This one is stubborn -- keeps coming back. I have an AppleTV, but do not use my phone as a remote. I also am not at home right now, so its not even detecting it on the network right now.

Just updated to 18RC-- and did the update for the Watch. It looks like the install is finished, but the iPhone still says "Installing"

EDIT: The installing message went away after about two hours. Everything seems to be working quite well.

I have this bug too. I’ve reported it but it’s evidently not been fixed. Maybe in the next version.

lol. Looks like you’re already in. That confirms why they had us on the long waiting list: to make sure nobody was able to prank it.

iOS 18.1.1 with Apple Intelligence enabled to 18.2 RC - opened Playground - it shot me to settings, which immediately showed “preparing.” About 5 minutes later, I got the “it’s here” message.

Yikes using the new AI stuff like Playground and Genmoji makes my 16 Pro Max get super hot. Also visual intelligence too. Damn. Not happy with this. My phone is also dimming from the heat. Prob won’t be using these features.

Anyone else have issues just unlocking their phone with face ID after last release and now still after todays? Face ID seems to recognize me in other apps but for unlocking my phone just refuses to work and phone locks up
