Pretty flawless on my 16PM. Never had touch issues, but did have a bug where white lines would flash briefly when unlocking the device spontaneously, and this seems to be gone now.

Question: if I turn off Beta Updates now, will I still get the public release of 18.2 (even if it’s the same build) next week?
The public version may show up as an update option if you turn off the beta updates. Generally when they run an RC beta, the final public release version is very slightly different. It wouldn’t show up if beta updates is still enabled almost for sure, so you could turn it off, and if it doesn’t show up as an option, you could plug it into the Mac and do what @jazzzyJeff suggested. 👍🏻

It’s actually not usual for it to be a different build.

Tapping on one notification when there are several from a given app used to separate them so that those notifications all became visible. Without launching the app.

Now, that behavior is gone, and when I tap on a notification from an app that has several, it automatically launches the app.

Is there any way to go back to the old behavior?

This behavior still works correctly for me. The only case when a single tap on a collapsed group of notifications will launch the app is when "Show previews" is set to "Never" (globally or for that specific app).

Try restarting your phone.

Thank you. Indeed, I had "Show Previews" set to "Never".

I switched it to"When Unlocked" and it went back to my desired behavior.

Any tricks in getting a full length photo done ? Whenever I say my name followed by walking a schnauzer it only shows my face and maybe one photo with a small dog on my shoulder.
Not sure. Maybe a genmoji limitation.

Lots of group chat-related issues. Chats separating in two, "Hide Alerts" toggling back off randomly.

That would be the second time in recent history that the RC wasn’t actually the build they push. Would be pretty weird.

I installed the RC via the IPSW, and reinstalled both apps (and a Force restart as always after an update) - Google Maps and National Wx display blank widgets.
The developer of National Wx has acknowledged this, and is looking to fix it.

Definitely noticing a bit to the battery compared to 18.1.1. I’m going to try a IPSW update after the public release next week.

Why are we lying to Apple and trying to pretend all those Playground images aren’t butt-ugly
Because no one expects Midjourney-like photos from Apple and that's probably also something Apple doesn't want to. Playground images is more family-oriented. Generating fun pictures, they don't have to look realistic for this purpose.
