1- Could probably use Apple Configurator to drop it on there, but the last time I did that after getting this message my phone got hosed for a while and I had to restore it from a backup. -OR
2- install the latest macOS beta and try it again, but I don't do the betas on my MBP..

I guess an OTA install is in the works!

Download xcode beta, extract MobileDevice.pkg and install that, then it works

My 15PM is still downloading the Apple Intelligence models. All night connected to the charger and wifi.

something seems a bit strange ... filed a report.

On Sequoia it finally allows DE/DE (device/Siri) ... but only guessing it could download Intelligence files in the back and waiting.
On the iPhone it needs to be US/US - if set DE/DE it just uses the old Siri. with US/DE it runs in German but gives an error (AI not available when Siri set to DE), which disappeared on the Mac after some waiting but not on the iPhone ...

I noticed that my mail categorization seems a bit off. Most of my emails are in the primary tab, while the other tabs are mostly empty. On the other hand, on macOS, it looks much more organized and sorted into each category and it actually makes sense. This is for German at least.
 
@LutzRFrank Can you confirm that neither image playground nor the writing tools (with the exception of the correction function) work on german devices?

Edit: Image Playground is working now. With some german words in the prompt it says „language not supported“. But in general it is working.

on the Mac mini ... 100% working
on the iPhone only Siri in DE no Image Playground yet

Mail is kicking f*ck out of my battery. Which is irritating as my background refresh is switched off for all apps

With everything set to Spanish on the iPhone, everything was activated and downloaded without any problems. I also noticed that the male voice seems more natural than the female one. I hope that in future betas they add some more voices, or improve the female one, which is the one that comes by default.

After updating, I left it connected to the power for another hour until the 6.17 GB occupied by the AI went down and after a few minutes everything was activated and working. Check to see if the entire AI has been downloaded in the settings. It is within the storage value occupied by iOS.

I did the same. After updating, left the iPhone connected to power and Wifi for over an hour. And after that, I left the phone connected to power all night long while sleeping. Same issue in the morning.

I restored 18.3.1 and loaded my backup for now.

Everythings works fine here on my iPhone 16 Pro with all set to German/Germany.

IP without problems (besides it is a bit meh in common) and also writing tools. Visual intelligence is also working.

For me it seems like a solid update. Not even see the battery drain much faster than before. But of course have to test in real life now.
