iOS 18.4 RC ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I’m not sure if this is a Facebook or iPadOS 18.4RC issue but scrolling marketplace has cause resprings to occur in the last few days. They get logged as JetSamEvents.

Hey everyone, I'm having a strange issue with the Notification Center. When I click on a notification, the text appears black on black. I recorded a video so you can check it out.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? And is there a way to fix it?

 
Anyone else have weird issues when trying to reply to a text from the Lock Screen where the whole conversation slides down and covers up the last text? Why is this so sloppy?

Also, if I have my notifications set to "Count", then how come they pop up every time I tap my screen? Aren't they supposed to stay hidden unless I tap on the count?
 
I have been running the 18.4 betas and upgraded to the RC on Monday. My 16 Pro is still saying that it is downloading the AI software. I have had it on wifi while charging each day. I've restarted the phone a couple of times, and I turned off AI and turned it back on twice. Has anyone else run into this? It's been 3 full days now. 🤷🏽

Very odd how audible alerts for email are working for some and not for others. I am part of the “not working” group. The crazy thing is that I reported this back in September. They acknowledged the issue. Reported again with this latest RC build, and they continue to acknowledge the issue. This pertains to the stock mail app only.

Sound notifications don't work for me either, but... when I use AirPods, the sound of notifications about new e-mails works with 100% effectiveness

Turns out notifications were turned off completely for me, except for number badge indicating an email. I had to turn it all back on. One or two notification did somehow get through...
 
Woke up and my iPhone 16 Pro was super jittery and dropping frames left and right. A simple restart seems to have mainly fixed the issue (though not totally). Annoying.

Same, I had to go into customize notifications and turn everything on in there. After that it’s been working as it should.

I was getting amazing battery life until today. Even while charging I’m losing battery %….I decided to update all apps but didn’t change anything. Nothing looks abnormal in the “ battery use” menu. Anyone else notice this?

Never had this. But it seems connected to this special app. Did you had this in notifications of any other app?
 
at least a fully changed description for the RC2
