Just updated to 18, Photos as is MUCH MUCH worse than I could have imagined. As someone that meticulously organizes their photos in iPhoto. Now that there’s no more Roll or Recents, when you sync your almond from your Mac back to your device, all those photos from the albums are intermingled with your “recents” into the now unified Library. This is completely unmanageable. 2000 “recents” and 44,000 photos in synced albums, now has become a 46,000 image “library”.

Apple doesn't think anybody had anything organized until they came along. And if you did, tough shìt. They know better, so to hell with whatever you did and they're just going to blow it away.

So how do I install iOS 18.0? I just finally watched Apple event and avoided ANY Apple News for past three months so catching up.

I want to start from iOS 18, not 18.1.

I am loving everything about both iOS 18 and iPad OS 18. Battery battery life on both my iPhone 13PM and M1 iPad Pro 11 are better than iOS 17. Both my devices are also faster and more responsive.

I am seeing many people not happy with the new Photos' app and Control Center. Both are easily customizable to look, feel, and function like iOS 17.

With Control Center, just open, then press and hold, then add or remove items. You can customize it back to just one page...like iOS 17, or you can have multiple pages now. I liked the one page configuration.

It's also easy to customize the Photos App to look and function like earlier versions. I made a video.

There are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to customize both these apps.😉
