iOS 18 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

With the major betas, they sometimes release them several minutes before 1pm if I remember correctly.

It’s HIGHLY unusual for them to do a beta 2 directly for a new iOS directly 14 days after. Usually the beta 2s happen Tuesday or Wednesday. It’s very possible that exec misspoke and it’s coming this week. I’m still refreshing and trying, but it would be unusual for them

I'm sure if Apple had the analytics, they'd see more people use the Today screen than the App Library one.

I'd love to see the stats, actually, as maybe it's just me who loves the Today screen.

I rolled back to iOS 17 after a day, due to an issue I had, but will give beta 2 a try unless I read about any show-stoppers. I'm prepared to lose my "legacy" (pre-iOS 14) widgets on my Today screen. I shall mourn their loss with a small farewell party.

He not used the today page for years. My parents had no idea it existed, despite having iPhones for 7 years - mum freaked out last week as she ended up on it and her & dad had no idea what it was until they asked me.

So, I think you’re letting your love of that page skew that you’re probably in the minority

2 HomePod minis and 2 originals. They were all compatible with 17.5. But I. Getting an error page now. Anyone else getting this?

It is. I miss it.

The best I can do now is replace the Camera icon with a Harmony one on my lock screen, so at least I can quickly open the app. But yeah, I miss the widget. I miss the whole Logitech harmony ecosystem; I'll be gutted when my remote dies.
