As an update, it’s been about 3 days since I installed beta 4 on my daily driver 15 PM (from iOS 17.6) and it’s pretty much running flawlessly. It took about two days for the indexing and optimization to finish in the background and now everything’s been fine including battery life.

For those on the fence, this may help. Looking forward to beta 5 tomorrow.

Hopefully beta 5 fixes the cellular bug coz it’s a daily issue multiple times a day

Nice. Taking the benefits of being on the beta but then depriving Apple of the benefits they get from allowing you to participate.
Their bugs are beyond reasonable at this point and like previous years, there will be a .0 1.02 and a .03 release before the point one update comes out because they have all kinds of little bugs that they don’t seem to squash early on and this is the reason that that happens so there’s really no benefit in killing my battery due to their lack of quality software writing skills and complacency.

Yes, it’s a beta, but if we look at your past, they’ve typically performed much better than this by this point and they already can’t get the AI features released at launch

Once you customize the photos app and hide all the stuff you don’t want to see, it’s actually quite good. I have it setup very minimal now and hid all the other stuff that I’ve just ignored in the past. Now it’s fully customized for me.
I’m betting everybody who knows how, is removing all of the suggested sections as you did.

UPDATE and now they’re gone in the new beta 5.

How do you "hide" sections? I can move sections to the bottom, but don't see a "hide" option.
