iOS 18 Beta 7 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Yeah my 15PM is as cool on 18 beta 7 as it was on iOS 17 and the battery is similar. I’d suggest it’s an app issue or some something edge case like too.

Sure I always update my apps daily take a look into updates inside the AppStore

Various apps seem to cause heat and therefore battery drain.

Event is scheduled for September the 9th, so hopefully today we get beta 8 with fix for heat and so battery drain.

Have you tried using a hammer to fix it? :)

Interestingly since this message disappeared for the 2nd time in a week my 15 PM has felt a bit better! It’s taken some time to finish the last beta installing/indexing etc.
 
I just got a unexpected error: I am on wifi and also on edge connection!

Is anyone's Home and Work function working in the weather app?

This works on the iPadOS beta, but not the iPhone, reported it on the last beta but no fix on this one.
 
Sick of the heating issues and battery drain in my 15 Pro Max. There is no specific activity or app and it just happens randomly. This morning I posted 2 photos on X and my device heated up and lost 5% in less than 10 minutes. Really hoping the next betas resolve the many annoying issues still present.

Also when editing the lockscreen screen and adding widgets etc the text has disappeared. Still feels like we’re far away from the final release atm.

Hi all. Cant set the different ringtone volume while incoming call in headphones and in the phone. It’s very loud in airpods… Beta 7.

I think you need to do a facoty reset or wait next beta ..Very strange

I think this will resolve with the next updates for iOS 18 and app updates also. It shouldn’t be the case that apps alone draining so much battery, the OS itself shouldn’t avoid this, but it’s not the first time this happens.
Regarding your widgets screen, a re-start should help.

Same, I'm really annoyed by the heating up of my 15PM. Mind you, that's not new to the beta, it has always been a bit like that, some days more, some days less. Of the past 4 years or so, this has for sure been my worst iPhone regarding thermals and battery.

The official release has to fix this , hopefully!
