Thank you @Kylo83! I’m really excited about iOS and iPadOS 18! I think this will be a big year! 👍🏻
I am SO excited about iOS18. I can bearly contain myself knowing that yet again, following the update, the Maximum Capacity of my iPhone will take another large step down, the battery life will significantly decrease. etc. How does my iPhone know it must lose Capacity right now as the update emerges? You know where I am going with this. I suggest everyone records the current Maximum Capacity of their iPhone BEFORE updating and then we can all compare notes after the Apple update completes. Personally, I can not wait to discover I need a new iPhone when before the update I didn't

I’m currently on the RC on my Mac, Apple Watch, HomePod mini and Apple TV And on the beta 3 of 18.1 on my iPad and iPhone and I’ve been strongly considering going back to 18.0 when it releases, but I don’t want the hassle of downgrading and restoring my data (even though I’ll be doing it next Friday).
I'm also very lazy to have to downgrade to IOS 18.

Pro Tip: If you don't check your maximum capacity before or after the update, you will notice 0 difference.

Look guys if there is even anything next week (as Apple has already released an updated beta for iPhone 16s) it won’t be until Tuesday at the earliest, however I’m growing more and more doubtful for next week. Hopefully I’m wrong as this beta is growing more and more buggy by the day.
What they are going to achieve is that there is no feedback on early versions without the last one being released, almost 4 weeks without beta and I guess having received feedback from the developers, it seems like a long time to me!

It is possible those who have iPhone 16s on developer beta see iOS 18.2 beta 1 in the near future. All other iPhone users could see iOS 18.1 public beta this week! As I suspect many would want Apple intelligence on their phones asap.
@john991 That thinking only for US users and developers, since in the EU it is not available, and I suppose that the information that Apple receives is very, very biased, due to the volume of installations

Remember 18.0 public beta was out, and 18.1 beta for developers was out for iPhone 15s at the same time. With this in mind, we could see iOS 18.1 public beta and have iOS 18.2 developer beta out at the same time.

My guess when iOS 18.1 public beta comes, (dev beta 4), we will see iOS 18.2 developer beta for iPhone 15s and 16s.Which could be as soon as the week of the 23rd.
@john991 I'm super pissed off with Apple, since I think those of us who have installed IOS 18.1 have left hanging, I have some bugs that I have reported and honestly they could have launched a beta in 2 weeks from beta 3

Are these bugs related to Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.1 or are they "iOS 18" issues? I'm sure their goal is to have iOS 18 as polished as possible for today, and in their eyes maybe taking longer on AI just to get it out the door.

Polish? I just wish that Apple would give us 3+ multiple alerts on iOS Calendar, just as it does on MacOS Calendar.

That polish appears to be intentionally lacking for years.

Otherwise - we release-day upgraders are ready for 18 today! 🎉

Or we can all stop obsessing about stuff like this and just, you know, enjoy using the phone.

@gwhizkids quick question do you think the estimated time to download won't be too bad especially if I wait about hour after everyone downloads
For me it's hard to say, I've done the major Sept. updates AS SOON as they were released, The wait time would be 10 min. up to 45-50 minutes. Even after 1 hour after the new iOS drop.

I'll probably wait until tonight before attempting to download/install 18. Maybe 7-8pm ET. I also want to check back here for any possible issues, major bugs some might be reporting.
