But I’m not optimistic myself too…

Yeah I wish nothing more than to be wrong. I’m just trying to be objective about what’s likely and not just say what I want to happen lol

I just feel like they would’ve released beta 4 last week if that were the plan. I mean they were on a 2 week cycle, so if they intended on releasing beta 4 before the 16 release, they would’ve just released that last week to give developers extra time to test on that beta.

Its worth noting that Developer news didn't show that separate "p" build reflected in the listings of software, even though MacRumors talked this up about that unique beta 3 seeding.

It's possible, and happened before when Apple just renames the system point release at some point during a beta cycle. Something has to give here for the Apple world not to be fractured.

I don't think they would rename this point as many sites including 9to5 have all laid out a so called upcoming features blueprint. I can see a beta dropping solely to get everything on a "developer beta" & can also see the side of the beta 3 release only for the 16's as they would've wanted many early testers to hype up its upcoming AI features. I hope that there's a beta today to clean up the Apple Watch faces being missing and other things related to photos that have been implemented in the GM (which those using the .1 beta on a 16 won't have).

Guys, I said it before… no beta until next week. They released beta 3 for iPhone 16 models on Friday. They’re not going to do that only to release beta 4 right before the iPhone 16 is released.

Thanks and I believe that is the case---also, I wonder if they're trying to merge the two (18.0 and 18.1) timed sequentially and smoothly with purpose and not randomly based on convenience.

just food for thought Ios 14 and Ios 15 there 14.0.1 and 15.0.1 came out the week after the update. Obviously with 16 and 17 it was 3 days later. But this has been a very stable release so I don't feel like it's mandatory we get the .01 release this week

Well now that 18.0 is ended and released, and what next is unknown. and 18.1 beta cycle is likely have at least four more betas into October there has to be something happening that the rumor mill doesn't know about.

I believe again iOS 18.1 beta 4 will be released to everyone (public beta) today or tomorrow then iOS 18.2 beta 1 developer will be out the next day. Let’s see what Apple has up there sleeves. 😁

Deliberately using the battery unfriendly beta 3 to deteriorate 15 Pro/Pro Max users and use the launch hype to manipulate them into preorder the 16 Pro /Pro Max. Disappointed.

That’s not necessarily true. Remember, that review units shipped to reviewers 1-2 weeks ago and they most certainly want them to test at least some AI features 😉
