I’m really hoping for 18.0.1 Monday or Tuesday. WiFi has been pretty bad on my 16 Pro Max
I know most have speculated for monday because it's been so long, but that's not really apples style with the x.1 releases I think it'll be tuesday or wednesday

18.1 beta - Monday Jul 29, 2024
18.1 beta 2 - Monday Aug 12, 2024
18.1 beta 3 - Wednesday Aug 28, 2024
18.1 beta 4 - Tuesday Sept 17, 2024
18.1 beta 5 - Monday Sept 23, 2024

Who says it's not Apple's style with current x.1 releases? Monday has the best odds.

If you meant 18.0.1 then your decimal accuracy needs some tweaking. 🤣

Monday it is! Let’s hope they add Sleep Apena in for this beta. 😁

yes meant 18.0.1. Think they get the beta out first on monday and then we look at possibly tuesday or wednesday for 18.0.1

LOL it's going to be a tough decision this week..... 18.0.1 or 18.1 beta 6. Not sure which way to turn on the daily driver. I guess it will depend on sleep apnea for 18.1, I truly want to see what my watch says on this front.....

My biggest dilemma is whether to drop off the beta train when 18.1 is released. Normally I always stop at x.0, let alone x.1, but this year it's even harder due to the reports Apple is going to drip-feed major new features through til 18.4 next year!

It's a trade off - battery life and overall stability or new fun stuff?

That's also not quite a guarantee – software is always work in progress. See iOS 18 – still has battery issues, problem with touch input, etc. I had issues with cellular, which made me jump to 18.1. So yeah, non-beta doesn't necessarily translate to better life and overall stability.

I want 18.0.1 to be dropped today

My 16 PM feels „incomplete“ somehow even though my only problem is touch screen related. We are used to getting a new update for new devices way earlier than this time.

Agreed. My new 16 pro feels slow. Lots of lag and animation stutter.

Not a fan of betas. And I’m from the EU so no AI for me unfortunately with the beta.
There is, as long as you set your device language to English US. But don’t expect much from the AI features - personally, apart from the automatic notification summaries, I haven’t used anything else.

Does the AI need us English voice too? I’m liking the summaries but I miss my normal Irish voice for Siri

Anecdotal, but I've been running 18.1 since the first beta and the battery life finally feels "production ready" as of beta 5. I wouldn't worry too much about the battery, if that's your main hold up from using it on your daily driver.
